Coach Delgado was recently an active member of the Paterson Old Timers Youth Baseball League for seven years. Coach Delgado began spent six years as a player in the league during which time he was selected onto numerous all-star teams.
Coach Delgado later enrolled at Passaic County Technical Institute where he played baseball and football. Coach Delgado began his baseball career on the Freshman baseball team during which time his team won the "Freshman Classic tournament" championship.
In his Sophomore season. Coach Delgado primarily played Junior varsity baseball however he was promoted to Varsity and also lettered as a Varsity player. Coach Delgado batted .320 with 19 RBI's, 5 HR's, 3 2B's, and 1 3B. The Varsity team won the Group 4, North Jersey section 1
In his Junior year, Coach Delgado was again a part of the varsity team. He began the season on a good note batting 10/25 (.400 avg.) and going 1 and 1 with a 2.22 Era, 10 ICs and 3 BB's as a pitcher. Coach Delgado later suffered an arm injury and was shut down for the rest of the season.
During Coach Delgado's Senior season he was primarily a pitcher. Coach Delgado posted a 4 and 2 record along with an Era of 2.10, 18 K's and 9BB's.
In 2016 Coach Delgado began his coaching career working as an assistant for his former little league coach and current Garden State Surge Coach Ramon Lopez. Coach Delgado served as the infield coach and pitching coach for the Silk City Rangers 11/12U recreation team. The Silk City Rangers posted a 14-3 record and a Championship of the Paterson Old Timers Youth Baseball League.
Coach Delgado later was a part of the 12U Silk City Sluggers All Star team coaching staff where he handled the pitching and first base coach duties. The 12U Silk City Sluggers posted an 11-0 record and a Championship of the Bergen County Summer League Tournament.
