Kevin Bang

Varsity Coach

Coach Bang played in the Saskatchewan Major League Baseball League from 1983 - 1989 winning 3 titles in 1987, 1988 and 1989. During those years, he went to school and played at Santa Ana Community College in California which placed 2nd in the California Community College Championships and at Treasure Valley Community College in Oregon. He was then recruited by the now UNM Baseball coach Ray Birmingham and played for him at the College of the Southwest. He earned his degree at Western Oregon State and began his coaching career in Oregon and later moved to El Paso. He coached the Irvin Rockets Varsity team from 2001 to 2008 winning District in 2003 and taking 2nd and playoffs in 2007. He then took over the Austin High School baseball team in 2010 and took the team in 2012 to the playoffs for the first time since 1997. Coronado has been his home since 2013. Go T-Birds!
