Coach Clint Trujillo is a native of Grand Junction and has been involved in wrestling for over 40 years. He began his wrestling career as a Little Warrior in elementary school, where he discovered his passion for the sport. He was a two-time State placer while wrestling for Central High School and went on to compete for Mesa State College in 1990, until the program was discontinued with the introduction of Title IX.

With the end of his own wrestling career, he began volunteer coaching youth wrestlers in Ft. Collins while working on his Bachelors Degree at CSU. After returning to Grand Junction in 1996, he began coaching wrestling at Central High School as an assistant coach.

From 2003-2019, he served as the Head Coach of the Grand Mesa Middle School's Wrestling program, boasting an impressive record of 11 District titles during that time.

In 2019, he was selected for the honor of serving as the Head Coach of Central High School's Wrestling Team, where he continues to coach today.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sports Science, a Masters Degree in Coaching Administration, and is a licensed physical education teacher at Central High School.
