Locey has been involved with fastpitch softball for over fifteen years. Founder of The Battery Lightning (Currently UNY Revolution) fastpitch softball organization in 2007, Locey has embraced a variety of roles throughout his career including president, coach and recruiting coordinator. Today, he serves in the same capacity with the RI Thunder- UNY program which is affiliated with the nationally renowned RI Thunder organization led by Dave Lotti. The RI Thunder- UNY mission is to develop young athletes by preparing them for collegiate softball and life beyond. Over one hundred and fifty student-athletes went on to play at all levels of NCAA Softball throughout Locey's career.

Locey is also in his second season as an assistant coach with the DII Le Moyne College Softball program. Locey primarily works with the Dolphins catchers and off the field, coordinates the program's travel logistics and assists with off-campus recruiting efforts.

A graduate of Bishop Grimes HS ('88), Onondaga Community College ('91) and Brockport State ('93) he played football and baseball in HS and baseball in college. Locey has worked for The Hertz Corporation for over 22 years and is currently a Corporate Sales Executive.
