Marc Greguoli
#00 - OF (profile)
Marc joined the taxmen in 2002 as part of the huge rookie class that included Gloria Axiotis, Luca Capriglione, and Sandi Isner, among others. As the most athletic of the bunch, and the fact he was one of the few who had ever played softball, Marc was quickly pegged as an outfielder, the area where the team needed the most help.
Blessed with a strong throwing arm, he more than compensates for his relaxed approach to playing the outfield. (Marc earned the nickname “Maribel” by his teammates, who liken his play to a cow lolling about in the sun while out to pasture.) He contributes to his laid-back image by seldom being seen without cigarette in hand, whether it be on the bench, in the coaching box, and in rare instances, out in the field.
At times, Marc has helped out the team by bringing along his brother Don, who himself has played over twenty games with the taxmen over the years.
In a 2002 game against Hughes Health, Marc had a fine all-around game, going 4 for 4, with 3 runs scored, 3 RBIs, a double, and a triple at the plate, while nailing a runner at home plate with a throw from his spot in left field. Marc was voted the team's rookie of the year in 2002, batting .589 and driving in 28 runs in only 20 games, along with 7 doubles, 2 triples, and 3 homeruns.
