Chris Atwood
#30 - LF (profile)
A softball mercenary (which sounds a little nicer than softball whore), Chris has previously played all over the league. He's been a regular, or a fill-in, for the Law Office of John Haymond, Brewhawks, Health Department Water Supply, Administrative Nightmares of DAS, and Town of Plainville. He was also player/captain of the Performance Wheel Company for two seasons.
Chris first played with DRS as a fill-in during 2002, before joining the club full-time prior to the 2005 season. Looks like he's finally settled down and decided to stick with one team. (Or at least we hope so.)
Jokingly rided by his teammates whenever he hits one of his Nomar Garciaparra-like sky-high popouts, Chris is one of the team's best power hitters, connecting for 34 homeruns in 81 career games played. Over that same span, he's batted .625 and driven in 132 runs. In his first appearance with DRS, a 2002 game against the Administrative Nightmares of DAS, Chris went 4 for 5, scored 4 times, knocked in 5 runs, and stroked a double, triple, and two homeruns.
