This is a recreational league that encourages girls to play, learn the game, exhibit good sportsmanship and most importantly to have fun.
Following are the age groups:
• 8U Coach Pitch (ages 7 & 8) (Must be 8 or younger on January 1, of the current year) - Meridian Township League
• 10U Player/Coach Pitch (ages 9 & 10) (Must be 10 or younger on January 1 of the current year) - Meridian Township League
• 12U (ages 11 & 12) (Must be 12 or younger on January 1 of the current year) - Mason Pony Softball League
• 14U (ages 13 & 14) (Must be 14 or younger on January 1 of the current year) - Delhi Township League
Additional Information:
• The cost is a $75.00 registration fee.
• In order to have a team, we will need at least 10-12 girls for each age group.
• 8u & 10u - All games will be played within 4 communities (Webberville, Haslett, Okemos and Williamston).
• Practices will be scheduled by the coach, and begin in April.
• 8u & 10u – Games will begin in mid May. One game per night at 6:15pm. Home games on field #3.
• 12u & 14u - Games will begin the first week of June. Double header games, and the first game starts at 5:30pm. Home games on field #1.
• There is a one day end of the season tournament in July for 12u
• The end of the season tournament will be near the end of July for the 14u, and is held on weeknights.
• Our goals are to have fun and learn the fundamentals for playing competitive softball.
• Uniform: 1 team shirt, 1 team softball pant & belt, socks and visor. Current prices are $75.00 youth sizes and $78.00 adult sizes. **Prices are subject to change.
• Each girl playing will need her own glove and wear tennis shoes. All other equipment will be provided.
• Suggested equipment not provided: Defensive Face Mask, Molded Cleats (Metal cleats are allowed for 14u).
• Individual & team pictures will be available for purchase.
