The Garland Labor Day Parade is September 3, 2018. All players are encouraged to participate.
Meet up times and location will be provided to coaches/team moms on Aug 30 once we receive them from the parade organizers. Typically the floats line up at 7am and kids/adults arrive at the float between 8am - 8:15am. This is just an estimate. Please check with your coach/team mom on Aug 30th for final details.
Each player should bring plenty of water and 1 bag of non-melting candy.
There will be 4 floats. 1 designated for football, 1 designated for Drill, 1 designated for Cheer and 1 designated for Basketball and Softball. All Athletes must ride or walk the entire time. There will be NO getting on and off the floats this year. Please talk to your team’s coach or team mom to determine if your kid will be walking or riding.
For kids that are 3rd grade and under we would like one adult per kid for all walkers. Riders do not need an adult. For grades 4th - 6th we would like 1 adult for every 2 kids walking. So please try to walk with us in your RYAA gear. Kids that are walking may HAND out items. Any kid that throws anything will be required to ride on a trailer the rest of the parade.
