2017 - 2018 CYBO 3rd - 6th Grade Boys & Girls Registration

Tryouts will be the September 25- September 28. Girls will tryout at Sinking Springs Elementary School. Boys tryouts will be held at Central York Middle School.

The actual dates and times will be posted on the website and an email will be sent to all those that registered online.

Games are Saturday and/or Sunday Afternoons, with playoffs at season’s end.

Team Practices begin at the end of October and are held 2 times per week at Sinking Springs Elementary School.

Cost - $135 dollars per player for 1st child, $125 for each child thereafter
(includes uniform shirt and shorts)

Payment will be due to CYBO once your child is selected for a team. No payment due at tryout.

WAIVER AND CYBO CODE OF CONDUCT INFORMATION
I/We waive any claim against Central York Youth Basketball, Central York School District and/or York-Adams Youth Basketball League, their officers, divisions and teams associated with it for any or all causes/results which may arise in connection with my child’s participation in this sport. In consideration of my child’s rights to participate in the above activity, we agree to indemnify and hold harmless any officers or members of the clubs from all damages and liabilities which they may incur as the result of any claims of suit arising out of my child participating in club activities.

I/We hereby give my/our consent to such treatment as an attending physician or paramedic may deem necessary in the event of an accident to my child. We designated above if our insurance DOES – DOES NOT require our Physician (under “Family Physician” above) to be contacted before transporting to a hospital.

I/We agree to the CYBO Code of Conduct as outlined below.

CENTRAL YOUTH BASKETBALL ORGANIZATION CODE OF CONDUCT

I will be encouraging and supportive in regard to my child’s play on the field.
I will endeavor to remain quiet when I cannot make positive comments.
I will remember that my child plays basketball for his/her benefit, not mine.
I will remind my child that basketball is only a game, and that players on the other team are opponents and not enemies. Their opponents deserve respect.
I will respect officials and accept their decisions.
I will support the coach, manager and the team.
I will volunteer my services and talents to CYBO whenever possible.
I will familiarize myself with the rules of the game.
I will make every effort to adhere to the principles of good sportsmanship and expect the same from my child.
I will comply with the rules, policies and procedures of the team and CYBO.
I will ensure that my child arrives on time and properly equipped for all games and practices. If there is a delay or necessary absence, I will notify the coach in advance.
I will discuss issues concerning my child:
- only with the coach.
- not with any other parent.
- only at a time mutually agreed upon with the coach.
- not immediately prior to, during or immediately after a game.
I will not engage in dissent directed toward an official, even if I don’t agree with the call.
I will not coach or instruct the players from the sidelines.
I will not engage in any kind or type of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player or parent.
I will not interfere at any time with the duties and responsibilities of the coach.
I will not act in any manner which is detrimental to the team or CYBO.

Repeated demonstrations of behavior that are in direct violation of the CYBO Parents Code of Conduct will be referred to the CYBO Board. The Board has the authority to suspend or expel any player, parent, or coach that does not comply with the Organization’s Code of Conduct.
