School basketball officiating
requires you to be able to run up and down a basketball court. If your present physical condition
prevents you from doing this then basketball officiating may not be a good match for you and your
health and safety.
All candidates will be required to be fingerprinted and be able to obtain a fingerprint
clearance through NYS Education Department prior to the start of the basketball season. More
information regarding fingerprinting and the process will be explained in the new candidates training
classes.
