Coaching Registration


Process to Becoming a Coach for LBRA
 Attend any coaches meeting scheduled (usually held during 1st week of April)
 Sign Coaches code of conduct form (Sign new one each year of
play)
 Register and complete Cal Ripken coaches training on the Babe Ruth website (onetime event) by April 15th.
 Have a working email and or cell phone (in order to keep in contact with team and board)
 Complete background check & Child Abuse Risk Management Program by April 15th (needs to be completed every two years)
 Receive approval by League President

Please note that all coaches will comply with these requirements. Any failure to do so will result in our inability to certify you to be a coach in LBRA. Coach certifications cost $25.00.

COACH'S CODE OF CONDUCT
To be read and signed as a coach for the Littleton Babe Ruth Program

As a coach, representing Littleton Babe Ruth Association (LBRA), I agree to the
following guidelines:
1. I will not swear or use abusive language on the bench, in the field, or at any
team function or practice.
2. I will not confront or challenge game officials over calls in an aggressive
manner. If I must speak to an umpire regarding a specific call, I will do so
in a polite and appropriate fashion.
3. If I am ejected from a game I will leave the field promptly without further
incident.
4. I will not drink, smoke, chew tobacco, or use any illegal substances at any
team function.
5. I will hold a parent meeting before the first game of the season and keep an
open line of communication will all parents either through email or a phone
tree.
6. I will conduct myself in a manner befitting my position as a leader of youth
sports.
7. I will participate in all coaching requirements as set forth by Babe Ruth
Baseball, Cal Ripken Baseball and LBRA.
Any coach who cannot abide by these rules, or violates them will be subject to
disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from his/her coaching position.
