Umpire Responsibilities:

*Study the rules for each division
*Always bring the league-assigned gear to your game assignments
*Stay professional (Never use profanities and always be polite)
*Communicate with coaches about critical rules and behavior policies before the game
*Verify each team's gear is still safe to use
*Have coaches verify BOYS are wearing a protective cup
*Confirm that basepaths and mounds are accurate in distance and that both team coaches agree
*Pay attention to the weather (Reminder that we don't make up games)

This is a paid position, rates will vary based on the division. Knowledge of the sport is preferred but not necessary. Training and equipment provided.

I understand the schedule is first come first serve on a Google Sheet. I will not take anyone's name off to put my name in their place. I will not change the schedule and will pay attention to how many umpires are required for the division. *

I understand I am committed to the games I sign up for and it is my responsibility to contact Ashley at least 24 hours in advance if I can no longer work the game. *

I understand I will be communicated with via an app called GroupMe. I will have my notifications turned on. *

I know I have to fill out a timesheet for each game I ump and have a coach sign off. *
