2024 ALL STAR PLAYER APPLICATION
Playing All Stars for the SLOGSA is an honor. Only qualified players will be chosen. Mandatory All Star Tryouts are Sunday, May 5th, 2024, at Laguna Middle School. Final decisions regarding selection will be made by the SLOGSA Board of Directors and the All Star coaches. Player skills will be evaluated using a variety of drills designed to assess their overall athletic abilities, specific softball skills, and knowledge of the game. USA Softball rules require that you must attend a school within the San Luis Obispo/Mission High School district boundaries to be eligible to play All Stars. An All Star fee of $300.00 plus a fundraiser participation deposit of $200 will be required for each player selected. We anticipate that selections will be made and all players will be notified of their status no later than May 8th. Thank you for electing to tryout for the SLOGSA All Stars!

SLOGSA All Star teams normally play in at least 4 tournaments per season. Please be aware that one or more of these tournaments may require some travel and an overnight stay. Additional tournaments may be added later in the season as well. Please indicate your availability for each of the following weekends (including previous week's practice time):

All players will receive high-quality, personalized jerseys and team gear. All Star fees include the cost of these items and tournament entry for all players on each roster. These costs typically total over $500 per player, however, league fundraisers help to offset some of these costs. All Star fees of $300 are required to be submitted with your application and must be received before your player can be considered for team placement. Payment is accepted online or through VenMo (instructions included at checkout.) Any players not selected will be issued a refund of the All Star fees paid.
The fundraiser participation deposit must be received as well and will be returned after the conclusion of our hosted SLO June Boom All Star tournament, upon confirmation of volunteer participation for each player/family. This tournament brings in a lot of money for our program and typically covers the cost of all our other tournament entry fees! If you are unavailable during the tournament, please let your coach know and we will find other ways to accept your help. We would rather have your assistance than your money to ensure our tournament runs smoothly!
