Mount Vernon Youth Baseball & Softball

THIS REGISTRATION FORM IS APPLICABLE TO MT. VERNON YOUTH BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL LOCATED IN MT. VERNON, IN (POSEY COUNTY).

This MVYB&S registration form will be for U8 and U10 softball players. These teams will play in the local Rural Girls Softball League with all practices taking place at the MVYB&S fields.

Players interested in playing U12 or U14 should register on the CUB registration form. Any questions please email mvybs.softball24@gmail.com.

Player Registration (to be completed only by parent or legal guardian):

**Registration received after Feb 28th. Any late registration acceptance will be at the discretion of the board.**

NOTE 1: For parents with more than 1 child playing at MVYB&S, you will have an opportunity to submit multiple registrations prior to making payment. Baseball and Softball registrations are separate and must be completed separately. Multiple Softball or multiple Baseball registrations can be done at once.

***MVYB&S will not deny any child a chance to play baseball/softball due to financial hardship. Full or partial scholarships are available. Please contact the League at mvyb2012@gmail.com for more details. All information will be kept completely confidential. Please also note in the comments section of this registration form.

NOTE 2: Payment is available with Venmo after submission of your registration separate from this registration. Separately, the payment should be sent directly through Venmo to @mvybs
However, if you prefer to pay by cash or check you can complete this online form and pay later. Full payment is required before the uniform will be issued.

Softball will offer both competitive and developmental divisions. This plan is subject to change based on player registration numbers. Should there be insufficient registrants for a specific division, players will be allocated accordingly.

* Division:

Girl's Softball (U8, for girls age 8 or younger as of 8/31/2025)

Girl's Softball (U10, for girls age 10 or younger as of 8/31/2025)

We are a 100% non-profit organization that is sustained only by devoted volunteers. Volunteers are essential for MVYB&S to be able to provide your child with a great experience. Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering for any of the following positions (check all that apply):

I will assume all responsibility and obligation for my child in case of injury or accident during participation in this program. I hereby release Mt. Vernon Youth Baseball, Inc., the Mt. Vernon-Black Township Park and Recreation Board, and all other paid and volunteer personnel from any and all obligation as a result of injury or accident related to my child during the course of the program. I understand that my typed signature in the box below will serve as my legal signature for agreement with this waiver of liability.

Precautions have been taken to limit the exposure, but all situations cannot be accounted for. This acknowledgement confirms that I will assume all responsibility and obligation for any injury or damages incurred at MVYB&S facilities. ***It is recommended to park at a distance away from the field to prevent potential damage.
