2019 GRAFTON TABB YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHEER AND FOOTBALL REGISTRATION

Dear Parents,

Thank you for choosing Grafton-Tabb Youth Football League (GTYFL). The information below explains the registration policies, fees, and deadlines. We are happy to have you as part of our tiger family for the 2019 Football Season!

Beginning February 23, 2019, all registrations are on a first come-first served basis. GTYFL places a limit on the size of the teams. A waiting list will be used after reaching this limit.

All registrations are $160.00 per child. For families with two or more children participating in the league, the 2nd child is $150.00, for the 3rd child and any subsequent children the cost is $130.00. Of the registration fee, $40 is for league required raffle tickets.

Please make checks payable to: GTYFL ($25.00 returned check fee). Please do not send cash.
**Full refunds will only be refunded through June 1st. From June 1st – July 31st half of the registration fee will be refunded. No refunds after July 31st. No Refunds for raffle tickets. NO EXCEPTIONS.

In addition to the registration fee, each football player is expected to provide their own football shoes, practice pants, 7 piece pads set and a practice shirt. In addition, each football player will be required to purchase game football pants from GTYFL at the cost of $40.00. Parents of all cheerleaders must have a check deposit of $40.00 per uniform at the time uniforms are handed out. This check will not be deposited and will be returned when the uniform is turned back in and inspected at the end of the season. All private purchases should be appropriate for age, size and meet the National Federation of High School Standards. All other equipment will be provided by GTYFL.

PARENTAL CONSENT/LIABILITY RELEASE FORM
Give permission for the child named to participate in cheer/football with the Grafton-Tabb Youth Football League (GTYFL) for the period of July through December of the current year.

In consideration of participating in this activity, I and/or the participant do hereby assume all risk of any injury to the participant and will indemnify and hold harmless, from any and all liability, action, cause of actions, claims and demands of any and every kind of nature whatsoever and that I and/or the participant have which arise out of or in connection with our participation in this activity the COACHES, MANAGERS, OFFICIALS, VOLUNTEERS, GTYFL BOARD, SUCCESSORS, YORK COUNTY AND YORK COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD, YORK COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION OR OWNERS OF ANY PROPERTY, or during an event that GTYFL or the Peninsula Youth Football Association may participate.

I declare that to the best of my knowledge and belief that my child is in good health and physical conditions to engage in the GTYFL activities. GTYFL recommends that the children have a physical prior to participating in the activities of Cheer/Football.

I agree to support all fund-raising activities and donate my time as a volunteer in support of the GTYFL. These activities will include assisting in the concession stand and other various activities needed to raise money and have a successful year at GTYFL.
I further agree to be responsible for all loaned uniforms and equipment.

I understand that the GTYFL does not supply any of the following items for football players: cleats, seven piece pad sets, practice pants and a practice shirt. I further understand that each football player must provide these items at his/her own cost.

I understand that photos taken of my child during any of the GTYFL events may be used for publicity, including the website. (GTYFL believes in child safety, children in photos will not be identified by name without additional permission)

I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child participating in youth sports by following this Parents' Code of Ethics:


I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event.


I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win.


I will make every effort to ensure that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.


I will require that my child's coach be trained in their responsibilities as a youth sports coach and upholds the Coaches' Code of Ethics.


I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive enjoyable experience for all


I will remember that the game is for youth - not for adults.


I will do my very best to make youth sports fun for my child.


I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.


The Peninsula Youth Football & Cheerleading Organization (PYFCO) has the right to implement rules and policies deemed necessary to ensure smooth management and integrity of the football and cheerleading program.



  1. Attendance in School: Any player absent from school should not be taking part in practice sessions/games. Head Coaches and parents will judge individual cases, and participating in a practice or game will be up to the discretion of the parent/guardian.

  2. Registration/Medical Forms: Each athlete must have a signed parental consent form on file in order to participate. It is suggested that all athletes are required to have medical approval prior to the first practice of the season.


PYFCO Behavior Rules:



  1. Smoking, using smokeless tobacco, drinking alcoholic beverages and/or using drugs or narcotics of any kind is not permitted during any PYFCO sponsored events.

  2. The following behaviors are unacceptable:

    • Any adult who: 1) verbally abuses; 2) attempts to intimidate; 3) is flagrantly rude, or, 4) cannot control their language or actions with an official, coach, PYFCO volunteer or other spectators will be asked to vacate the area.

    • Any adult that commits a second similar offense will be banned from PYFCO events and their child/children are subject to be removed for the remainder of that season pending a decision by PYFCO Board of Directors.  The sponsoring organization may refund a pro-rated portion of the registration fee minus jersey or equipment cost.

    • Any adult who physically assaults an official, coach, PYFCO volunteer or other spectator will be banned from PYFCO and their child removed from the program for one year from the date of the offense. The child/children may not participate in any association in PYFCO during the sanction period.  After one year, the parent may apply for re-instatement of his or her child.  Any time the adult commits a similar offense, he or she will be permanently banned from PYFCO along with their children.  The term physical assault includes, but is not limited to, hitting, slapping, pushing, spitting, kicking or striking in any way with any part of the body or any physical implement.
