2024 Motor City Classic: Pool play sites to pick from for each age group! Updated April 22nd, 2024.

This is a reminder that each team needs to pick one of these pool play sites. You will remain there for pool play. The only way you could have to travel is if you advance to the playoffs.

I have included videos showing some of the venues for you to look at.

Please text Matt Sandles at 248-752-8185 regarding picking pool play sites and in regards to picking game times. Both pool play sites and game time choices will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to change due to number of teams at a pool play site. If game times are important to you, please make sure to confirm them with Matt Sandles prior to the schedule being released. This is very important. We do not want to be making changes to the schedule if possible once the final schedule is released in early July 2024.

Sunday's playoffs will all be in Metro Detroit no matter what pool play site you pick.

Reminder: 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, and 13U are 3GG (weather-permitting). 14U and 15U are 4GG (weather-permitting). 16U and 17/18U are 5GG (weather-permitting). This is all prior to the playoffs.

First place teams in each age group will get a team trophy and rings. Second place teams in each age group will get rings.

VERY IMPORTANT! If you see a pool play site that you want but was offered to another age group that does not match your team, let me know and I will see what I can do for you. This is only if the site says it has room still. If it is full, it is full.

More pool play site choices will be added throughout the year. You can always switch to a new one that still has room. Just confirm with me that you are in the one of your choice at any given time.

Please note that these prices could change slightly at a later time.

Once a schedule is released, there are absolutely no refunds. Any refund requests before that will take many factors into account including the tournament director's discretion. The schedule will be released approximately two weeks prior to the beginning of the tournament.

Veteran's Park and Southeast Park in Ann Arbor are options. Both sites have room and have multiple fields. Hamtramck Stadium's Little League field has room in Hamtramck, Michigan. McCrea Park in Battle Creek, Michigan has room. Riverside Park in Battle Creek, Michigan, has room.

We also have an Ohio option which is Carter Park in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Bicentennial Park in Livonia, Michigan, has room and has lights! Choices include Veteran's Park and Southeast Park in Ann Arbor. Both sites have room and have multiple fields. The smaller field at Warrior Park in Troy, Michigan, is an option and has turf. The softball field at St. Charles High School can be played at 50/70 and is an option for 12U baseball. Riverside Park in Battle Creek, Michigan, has room.

We also have an Ohio option which is Carter Park in Bowling Green, Ohio.

13U Baseball:

This is a reminder that each team needs to pick one of these pool play sites. You will remain there for pool play. The only way you could have to travel is if you advance to the playoffs.

For 13U:

The price is $600 per team. The 13U division only is a three-game guarantee (weather-permitting). The 13U Division will be based out of Kyte Monroe Park in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Kyte Monroe has four fields that will be dedicated to 13U. They have a concession stand, onsite grounds crew, lights on all four fields, etc. However, teams will be able to pick their time slots and pool play site.

You can register now and pay later! Just fill out the form to qualify for a game under the lights!

This division will be based out of Kyte Monroe in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The 13U playoffs will be there as well. Up to 32 teams can play pool play there and all will be guaranteed a game under the lights, weather-permitting. However, Veteran's Park and Southeast Park in Ann Arbor are also options for pool play. Herald E Classic Memorial Park in Woodland, Michigan is also an option. Riverside Park in Battle Creek, Michigan, has room.

14U Baseball:

The price is $1,100 per team. However, the first twelve teams in 14U to fill out and submit the Online Registration Form will receive a $100 discount and only be charged $1,000. This is for a four-game guarantee, weather-permitting. Teams will be able to select their pool play site and time slots.

The pool at Novi Catholic Central High School's two turf fields has room. The pool that guarantees one game at Jimmy John's Field in Utica, Michigan and three games at Utica High School has room. The pool that guarantees teams two games at Madonna University's Ilitch Ballpark on Wednesday and two games elsewhere in Metro Detroit has one spot available. The pools using Davenport University's turf field in Caledonia, Michigan and the new Meijer Sports Complex turf field in Rockford, Michigan (the same field used by Aquinas College) have at least one spot open as of 3/27/2024. The pool at Rockford High School's JV field has room and will run only Friday-Saturday. Deckerville High School has room. Dearborn High School has room. Auburn Hills Avondale's two fields have room and would only run Thursday and Friday. The Anchor Bay High School JV field has room. The Grand Ledge High School JV field has room.

The pool using Central Michigan University's Keilitz Field (turf) and other nearby fields has room. However, any 15U team playing at Keilitz Field would be guaranteed two games there and have their other two games nearby. Any 15U team playing at Keilitz Field would have to agree to play on Wednesday.

The price is $1,250 per team. However, the first twelve teams in 16U to fill out and submit the Online Registration Form will receive a $250 discount and only be charged $1,000. This is for a five-game guarantee, weather-permitting. Teams will be able to select their pool play site and time slots.

Please note that if you want to play at Detroit Country Day High School or at Eastern Michigan University's Oestrike Stadium, that price would be $1,650, rather than $1,250. That is only if you want one of those two specific fields.

As of January 6th, 2024, Allen Park High School is full. Those teams will play all five of their pool play games on Allen Park High School's turf.

As of December 16th, 2023, Spring Arbor University's turf field is full. Hamtramck Stadium has one spot open.

As of December 26th, 2023, Oakland University's turf field is full. Teams in this pool agreed to play on Wednesday. They will get all five of their pool play games on that field.

As of January 3rd, 2024, Eastern Michigan University's Oestrike Stadium is full.

As of January 16th, 2024, the pool featuring CMU's Keilitz Field and Chip Jr. is full unless teams are willing to play on Wednesday.

As of 2/14/2024, Concordia University in Ann Arbor is full.

Allen Park High School's turf field is full as of 1/6/2024. Central Michigan University's Keilitz Field (turf) is full as of 1/16/2024 unless teams want to play on Wednesday. Teams that sign up for the Keilitz Field pool will get three games at Keilitz Field and two games at Chip Jr. Eastern Michigan University's Oestrike Stadium is full. Oestrike Stadium has lights and turf! Hamtramck Stadium is full as of 3/20/2024.

The pool featuring the Kalamazoo Growlers' Homer Stryker Field is full as of 2/29/2024. Teams will get at least three of their five pool play games there, possibly more. The legendary and historic Marsh Field in Muskegon, Michigan, has room. Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is full. Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township, Michigan, has room. Canton High School has room. Albion College's Frank Joranko Field at Champions Stadium is full as of 2/27/2024. Galesburg-Augusta High School has room. Spring Arbor University is full. Spring Arbor University will have turf and lights. Hamilton High School's varsity field has room. West Ottawa High School has room and has two fields. Kalamazoo College's Woodworth Field is full with six teams as of 11/13/2023. As of 12/15/2023, Madonna University's Illitch Ballpark in Livonia, Michigan, is full with six teams.
