| I noticed while taking of the exhaust pipe that the exhaust port on the engine is bigger then the one on the pipe. Ive done this before on a 4 stroke, But would this improve performance on my RS4 3 EVO? Or might it affect compression and be a bad idea???

| Is your engine side or rear exhaust?
If it's a side exhaust, one trick is to widen the mouth of the header. Just on the sides to maks it more efficient. Look on rcnitro.com or rccaraction.com and there are some articles on mods like that.

| Yah, My engine is a side exhaust and wideing the mouth of the header is just a longer way to say "boring the exhaust"

| I couldnt find the artciles. But i know how to do it (ive done it on dirt bikes before) i just wanted to know whether this would positivly affect or negatively effect my mottor. And if you can find me a specific artcile talking about this it would be great because i really dont want to wreck my pipe.
Also does anyone know of anyother engine improving things such as this, or small cheap things that can boost the performance of my engine.
The only modification ive done to make this car faster is to put a tuned pipe on it, so anything that could boost its perfromance would be helpful.

| chris, forget about porting the exhaust hole.all you need is to gear to the track you are running at,for instance go racing, to me it's a small track so i would drop some teeth on my pinion gear for first,put a taller spur gear for first for more bottom end punch and some how try to make 2nd gear longer by also changing pinion and spur gear, gearing can make the wimpiest engine into a monster, try this first and if you can control your car then make another mod,but im pretty shure you'll see the difference.

| Thnaks Ill try that out. i was already planning to change the gear ratio on my car for more bottom end, because right now i have i set-up for top-end and last time i went to Go Racing the car really felt slow.

| Well i just read another article specifically saying that it will help to bore-out the exhaust on the header but not too much. First im gonna try it out on another one of my Nitro cars and see if it helps
