| Just a quick update on the first race from Ft. Myers. The Team Serpent drivers cleaned up in the "A"'s. Paola did some awesome driving to make up about 4-5 seconds on Chuck Moon in the last 1-1/2 minutes to win the 1/8 scale (Scotty DNS after he lost a dogbone). Gianni drove really well to win the 1/10. Both DJ & Maxie ran well but had car problems (dogbone & upright).

| Andrew endeed up posting the 11th. fastest qualifying time which just placed him out of the "A". We started out on Saturday having gas problems when we couldn't make 5 minutes. We managed to get one 19 lap qualifier in when we "splashed" him. On Sunday we managed to get in a full qualifier after leaning the engine enough to do so (Note: We did end up losing compression on the engine though).

| Andrew started the "B" running really well, up until a car "flipped" from 2 lanes over and landed directly in front of him "flat-out" on the shorter straight. This made for a spectacular "wipe-out" which landed him off the track! After getting started again (about 3 laps down), he started to move up through the field, posting some really great lap times (his best was 14.2). If he could have duplicated a few of these during qualifying it would easily have placed him in the "A". Andrew moved up steadily until he broke a front upright against a after tangling with another car which spun out directly in front of him coming into the hairpin. "All-in-all" we had a great time although it was really, really HOT! and we missed seeing the other Miami guys (Alex, Eric etc.) I hope we can all make it for the next race in Kissimmee at the end of October. Many thanks to all for their tremendous help (especially Maxie & Art). Note: I think Maxie may have had his fill of us for quite a while!!

| next time you multiple thing to help the milage. jusy leaning it out is not good. Ft myers in hard on milage. If you need I can help next time. I tried to give some tips, but I know you others to help. I did not want to step on anyone's toes, I think you would have been better with my idea's. Hope the motor is not ruinned. Glad to see andrew came out and performed well. He will only get better and you guys go to more state races. Also, you will see. When you start going to the local tracks you will be better and better. The higher level races really make you a better driver. Hope to see more miami guys at these races. Orlando track is the best place, in my opinion. there will be a new layout, so it will be new for everyone. Be ready to race and come out and support the hobby guys.

| Thanks DJ. We appeciated all your help too and hopefully the engine is salvagable. Maxie did a quick "pinch" and it seemed to run really fast & idled well during the main.
re Kissimmee: Do you guys have a specific hotel that you usually stay at that is reasonable?

| For anyone that wants to go to this state race, just to let you know. this is one of the best tracks around. it is big and fun. try to go to this one if you can. since the nationals are a week later there will probable be good competition. and the outlaw class should be good.
