| Is the Serpent 710 too much car for a beginner? I'm trying to decide between that and an Associated NTC3. I'm not new to RC, but I am new to nitro. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks John

| Don't worry about having too much car. The NTC3 is very limited compared to the Mugen or Serpent. While it may be cheaper, you'll spend more money trying to get it to keep up with either of the ones I mentioned. With the Serpent you'll get TONS of support from the local guy, a majority of which own a Serpent. Aside from that Serpent USA is based and tests right in Miami so you can get lots of help from them too. Mugen also has a very competitive car which is pretty easy to get fast with. Art Carbonnell is running a Mugen now I believe so he should have the new MTX4 dialed in shortly and be ready to share his knowledge as always. Lots of guys will also jump on the MTX4 bandwagon since it's the new "hot" thing. I'd steer clear (nice pun huh?) of the NTC3 at all costs unless you're getting it for free.

| TC3 are very hard to get parts for as well.
