First let me introduce myself...
My name is Carlos, been living in Miami for about 5 years, moved here from Los Angeles where I used to race OFF-Road electric at SoCal. Since moving here my RC10T2 truck has remained in storage since I lost interest and didn't know any tracks around here.
I just bought a Yokomo GT-4 from a friend and it's the first time I'm running nitro. The sparks have reignited and I want to race again.
I went to the Go Racing track to check it out today...didn't drive on it, but stopped to see it. It is a bit small...I've seen bigger electric tracks than this one but I'm sure if I learn on it the wider tracks will be easier in the future. Does anyone go out during the week to practice? Are the races every sunday? It looks like it's open to anyone at any time. It's a long drive for me living in Kendall but it seems like it's currently the only track available this royal palm is relocated. Any other on-road tracks currently available other than go-racing??

In general they race every Sundays with point series every other Sunday. I think practice is on Saturdays. You should go this Sun. to check it out. If you plan on racing, you'll need a couple stuff like table chair etc... You can read other posts on this forum regarding racing up there. I know the drive from kendall is long, but you'll get use to it. I go from kendall myself, and traffic is usually good on Sundays. Hope this helps.

Also there isnt qany electicicty at the track so dont plan on using any thing that runs on electricity, Unless like some of the electric guys that race thier you have a generator.

Thanks for all the replys...well I don't think I'm ready to race yet...I'm getting a feel for the car setup and the engine. I plan on upgrading the yokomo 18, but until I feel comfortable with the car's handling I won't be doing it. How do the races usually set-up with the qualifying, the mains and the length of the races??

If you dont think that you are ready to race go and practice, its a good way to learn.

I just sold my Nitro car (Until a new track opens up) and got bought some electric cars to pratice my driving (easy to tune and turns on every time, also a 27 turn is a bit slower that my .12) I will go to tropical and set up some turns with cones on the weekends...I have had a hard time making it out to race with the micro on wed nights b/c of work
