Believing that you can do it!

As the day of our competition nears,
Remember the smiles, forget the tears.

Remember the times we've spent together,
Cherish them now, cherish them forever.

Next year it will not be the same,
Some girls lost, some girls gained.

Doing the routine one more time,
To fix that motion and straighten that line.

We've had many falls and lots of tough breaks,
We took our chances but knew what was at stake.

We are all exhausted and ready to rest,
But first we must show the world who is best.

Regardless of what the judges criticize,
Remember they weren't there to realize.

We sweated, we ached, and we worked all the while,
And we hid all the pain with a convincing smile.

So show them now what we have worked for,
Give a little extra where there needs to be more.

Smile and know that we have finished the race,
Regardless of what we win or place.

Through My Eyes

As we walk through the door, our hair up in curls,
We watch some of the girls practice their flips and twirls.

It's our turn to practice, we run through everything once or twice;
All stunts are solid, the routine looks nice.

Our team is called, it's time to go on,
Our minds go blank, the routine is gone.

The crowd goes wild as we spirit out,
Everyone is nervous without a doubt.

The music starts, the routine comes back,
This is the real thing, no time to slack.

Formation runs and motion drills, we've all come to hate,
Really paid off, 'cause we're looking great.

We've practiced for hours to look good for three minutes,
We give it our all right up to the finish.

First place or last, we've done our best.
Now it's time to cheer for the rest.

i didn't make it up...
Coach-

We finally learned
What life is all about...

The secret of success
Comes hard....no doubt!

We trained, we sweated
We ached, we cried...

And found out we got better
Each time we tried!

We were pushed, yelled at
Preached at, too....

But the more that this happened,
the more that we grew!

"You can be anything
you want to be!"

This voice kept shouting out to us.

Yet who can we blame for such a daring approach?

That General....
That Counselor....
That Friend I call MY COACH!

i did make this up..
competition day_-
far from going on
we arrive at the arena
we making weird noises like "come on mon"
our teams are filled fright
but there you are perfectly all right
you wait outside and do your circle cheer
then you see a seagull very near
soon about 50 of them flying over you
maybe kristie talked to them
Do you think its true?
we walk inside we are are filled with fright
not one of us is all right
there might be a "i'm not ready" or "my tooth fell out"
and of course we make coach patty shout
we wait all day
after awards we stay
you hear your coach " its time to go"
you must go so...
you walk with your team down to get ready
none of your stunts are really steady
your tumbling is off
theres a sniff and a cough
we are all scared to death
the moment of truth
we step on the mat and and there comes a tooth
goodluck has approached us
our best is a must
we go on the blue mat
cheer our hearts out tumble so high
punch out our motions
and some of us fly
we did the best we could
there could be better
time for awards
we hear the sound of our letter
dave marshall screams that the champs are
MONROE WOLVERINES
each and every girl shone like a star i love you girls<33
