OK it's this Sunday the 4th at the Bank Atlantic Center (Florida Panther's Hockey Arena) So far it's me and Alex going and *possibly* Juancho. I've also got two other guys from work going. Alex and I are taking the tents, so if anyone wants to just come watch, there will be shade at least, although the weather is supposed to be GREAT!

If you want more info go here
http://autox.carlc.com/

Registration closes tonight, but you can do it on the day of the event. Hope to see some faces out there!!

Yeah my SRT-4 puts me in DS. I'm screwed, cuz once I put on my nicer tires and springs I go to CSP. There are some fast cars in there. Alex is screwed in his S2000 that's one of the top dogs, he needs to drive well

I had the Black SRT-4, which Civic were you?

Here are the Results. http://autox.carlc.com/results/12-04-05/

Guys, anyone with any remotely sporty car needs to go try this. It's a BLAST All you need to do is put maybe 5-10 more PSI in your tires before your runs and that's it. They have loaner helmets there if you don't have your own.

Alex and I had an awesome time. He finished 5th in his class (out of 9) and me 4th in mine (out of 5) :/ But after all the multipliers were done, I finished 61st and he finished 67th overall. There were 118 drivers out.

This thing is a blast. There are TONS of fast cars out and some that you'll rarely see. The guy that won had a Sweet POrsche GT3 that he brought in on a trailer. There was a few Vette's, a Viper, 2 new Lotus Elise's and even a REAL SKYLINE! Right hand drive and everything. It's not street legal in the US so he brought it in on a trailer.

For anyone interested, here's the site: http://autox.carlc.com/
The next one is Dec 18th, email me if you guys wanna go.

I remember you Sach, I was in the Sebring Silver S2000.

Anyway, I'm not as good a reporter as Eric but I'll give it a shot.

We got there early and was really excited. We walked the track a few times and tried to memorize it. After that I felt pretty comfortable that I wouldn't have a problem getting lost throught the cones.

First round started and ALOT of the cars were getting lost on the track and every freakin S2000 was losing control in the corners AND! getting lost!

After every mistake I got more and more nervous and started having to Pee every couple of minutes!

I was in the second round so I went to get my car and line up. By that time I had to pee again and didn't know if I would have time. Could'nt hold it, so I ran to the portapotty. Made it back fine. I strapped in and put my helmet on WAY! to soon. My brain baking in the sun while I wait my turn. 5 minutes later I unbuckle, fight my helmet off ad run for dear life to the bathroom, yep, gotta pee again! Ran back with just enough time to strap in and run my first lap.

I decided to take it easy and feel out the track. I didn't get lost at all and actually got a respectable first lap time. I lined back up for my second lap and I was totally relax and grinning from ear to ear. I got out of the car and BS'd with the other guys and got some tips. Second lap I did better and for my third lap I had a Honda Team driver ride with me and give me pointer(Cool Cool Cool).

My forth lap was better ut I pushed it into the turn too hot and pushed a bit. Although, it was my fastest lap I could have easily done better. I learned alot about my car and how RC racing completely gives us an advantage over other guys. Finding the line and staying smooth.

After my laps I stopped Peeing. Yeah!!! Next time I'm waring a diaper, just in case. I also felt like flicking a booger on those other two guys in the S2000 that went before me and made me so nervous.

I forgot one other little mishap.

While eric was getting ready to run his laps I went back to my car to l;et some air out of my tires. Well, I started getting that feeling rumbling oh no feeling that you get way you need to get to the bathroom with a quickness.

So, I left my car and ran to the Faithful port and lo and behold, Eric's friend Annette is standing right next to the portapotty!!!!!!!!

I snuck to the other side of it and slipped in with out her noticing. I was pretty confident she would not be there when I exited. Perfect! That was the best victory of the day.

Alex S did u have the stock S2k or the 1 wit the carbonfiber hood and mugen wing? and yea everyone was getting lost my first run i got lost to. I marshalled the first coner and those S2k were getting real sidways some spining out to. But its all fun and helps u leard the limits of your car. Are u going to Hialeah on the 18 ?that track is fun but a lil truckey cuz of dips and lil bumps can catch u off gard. Its more of a solem course.

Alex was the stock guy with the Flames/24/Colombia Flag on his helmet. We shared that one, THANKS JUANCHO!!!

Yeah that first group of guys went out trying to beat the world. One of those s2000's with the cf hood messed up THREE times in the SAME corner over by station 4, I saw it from 5. Some of those guys have too much car and not enough skill. But who cares it's all fun. I finally figured out exactly how I went off course the second time.

Yeah man, you have to try this. It's a blast. The Z's do well from what I've seen. It's not hard on the car. The real trick is tire pressure. You need to run it high and your tires won't wear bad.

Here's pics from the last event. I finished 2nd in my class :)

Ok, so it's January and there's still no RC track. I'm still Autocrossing and it gets better every time. I think even if we get a new RC track I'm gonna stick to AutoX instead. The next one is January 29th in Homestead. All you need is your car and a helmet. Put some extra air in your tires and you're set. If you don't have a helmet, they have loaners at the event. Anyone stands a chance in ANY car since final times are calculated according to your car class. Go to http://autox.carlc.com/ for more info. Alex Serrano and I will be there. So if anyone else wants to try it let me know and we'll caravan.

Congrats Eric taking home second place. I came in forth place not bad i was counting on that forth run but they took way to long to get started. How did u like the track layout? The middle part killed me could not get it right i was pusing to hard in that part and thats what killed my time and spinning from the lats turn to the finish line.

Actually it turned out to be 3rd. There was a guy in BS that they were supposed to stick in DS but it didn't get posted. They fixed it while handing out trophies. He beat me by .8sec. That middle section got me too, I was totally entering that right hand sweeper after the sharp left all wrong and washing out at the end of it. But I got faster each run and it's the closest I've been to first, so I'm happy overall. I still need to meet you. There are so many civics out there that I don't know which one you are. I'm the only black SRT (so far) Come and get me next time. I didn't get any pics this week as I was out there alone. So I didn't take my camera gear. I wish we could get some Royal Palm guys out there. I know they'd have a blast. See you next event.

Alright. Next event is on the 26th. I'll be out there again. Alex needs new tires so who knows if he'll make it. I've been bugging Alain and Kristian, so hopefully one of them will crumble to the peer pressure and show up. :D I'm guessing Sach will be there as well. I saw Nadim out there last time, but I think he was just spectating. COME CHECK IT OUT!!!

I'm going to participate also. But I'm compromising. I just bought a couple big ass servos and plan on installing in my car. That way I can combine both sports. I need a dummy to volenteer to ride inside my car. I will hang in the tree and driver with my KO. I need the dummy because they said I wasn't alowed to drive my car via remote control. So I'm going to fool them all!!!!

So, who what's to be my dummy?

Yeah I saw your name on the list too. Check your gmail, i sent you directions. How'd you do last time? I didn't do so hot. the high speeds had me nervous, then my 3rd run was in the rain. Still a blast though.

This course is way different, more of a "reaction" layout, lots of slalom. It's fun though. definitely easier on the tires.

For those that don't know, the last event was AWESOME. we got to run on the actual Homestead Speedway infield Road Course! It was a blast driving on that thing! Speeds were close to 80 for the fast guys.

Here's a pic of me going through the corkscrew:

HOw'd it go Nadim? I have pics of you, but I don't have them yet, I need to get them from my friend. I finished 3rd in my class. It was fun out there. I kept making mistakes on all my runs, but on my final run I put down a good enough time for 3rd. Only .2 from second. My gaps from the top guys are getting smaller. 1st smoked us by two seconds but he's in a car that doesn't belong in my class so I'm not so disappointed that I didn't catch him. There was a nice incident of a guy in a WRX running his race tires with ALUMINUM lug nuts. Of course they stripped and his wheel went flying off. His fener got all banged up from his wheel and his brake rotor is shot from grinding on the road. But it could have been worse. Nadmin showed up in his TSX. Looked like he made some good runs, but I don't know where he wound up. Hope some more of you guys can come check this out soon.
