We ended up having 3 teams back out since Wednesday that said they were definately going to play. We have 6 in the A division, 6 in the B division and 5 in the C division.

The C division will play each other 3 times to make their 24 games.

The A and B divisions will play everyone in their division in 2 double headers to make 20 games. The additional 4 games consist of this:

Each A team will have a double header against a B team the second to last week of the league.

The last week of the league, 1st place vs 2nd place, 3rd place vs 4th place and 5th place vs 6th place in both divisions.

Everyone please check your schedule and if you don't have 24 games, let me know.

I was just curious as to why the division c group does not have any playoff games sheduled, as the other two do ie first vs second?

The C division has 5 teams. It works out perfectly for each team to play each team 3 times. That gives them 24 games (or 12 doubleheaders).

A and B have 6 teams, which if they play everyone else in their division twice, that's 20 games or 10 double headers. That still leaves all the teams 4 games short. So I had one doubleheader where they play someone in the other division, and then one game for a playoff type deal.

I wanted all of the divisions to be like the C division and just play each other twice, but I had a team drop out of the A division at 9:15pm on Wednesday night, leaving me with 6. Also, 1 team dropped out of B on Monday and 2 teams dropped out of C on Monday and Thursday.

Hope this makes sense man. See you this week.

No Michael, there is not. A tournament adds a lot of cost onto the league fees. If you look at the "League Fee Breakdown" sheet that all captains have received, the cost per game during the league is almost $52 a game. For a 5 team double elimination bracket, there will be either 8 or 9 games. You have to plan for 9 games, so 9 X $52 = $468. That comes to $94 a team for only a 2 game guarantee. I just don't think that most people would think that's worth it. In order to have a tournament, we would have to knock 4 games off your schedule.

I am however going to have a tournament on July8th and 9th. There will be different divisions so if you guys are interested in that, give me a hollar.
