Bulls manage a split with Brooklin this weekend.

Game 1 - Leyland gets the emergency start when Bulls first pitcher, not named any names - shows out late.

Bulls start strong scoring 1 in first on one of Pitman's 3 hits for the day.

In the top of the 6th, Brooklin score 2 runs to take the lead on an error by Langford in right field.

The Bulls tie it up in the 7th on a Blasko rocket to CF that thr CF couldn't handle.

The games goes into extra innings, and in the 8th, the Dodgers load the bases with 1 out. A bloop hits to LF falls in and Moose comes up gunning forcing runner out at plate.

In the bottom of the 8th, with 2 out, Leyland singles home Hogan to win the game.

Leyland goes 8 innings. 1 ER, 8 K's, 5 walks (1 Intentional) and scatters 6 hits.

Pitman is 3 for 3.

Game 2 was all Brooklin as started Dave Willits gets roughed up allowing 4 runs in 2 1/3. Conlon comes in relief and pitches 3 2/3 allowing 1 run and striking out 4. Guy pitches a scoreless 7th, but the Bulls offense couldn't manage anything and strande 8 runners falling 5-0.

Bulls take their first loss of season and fall to 2-1. Bright spots on the day were Pitman going 5 for 6 with 4 singles and 2 doubles and Blasko swings the bat well reaching base every at bat.

It was great to play the Dodgers again who are a solid, very classy team and it was a refreshing game.

Bulls are next in action against the SW Twins where they look to extend their record to 4-0 against the West division.

interesting edit...

Leyland is off to a really good start.

Can he win 10 games all by himself?
