Looks like the Shark are off to a great start this year. 10-0. Good job boys.

I have seen the Shark play this season. They should be one of the top 4 or 5 teams that will contend for the state title. Is Chris Weber back on the team after a few year abscence?

Steve Payne's leadership must be the reason for success.

Get a new topic Dannunzio. If you have a problem with me, my phone number and e-mail are on this very website. Why don't you get out from behind your computer monitor for once?

How come the Shark always get the short end of the stick when it comes to criticism? Is it because they are good? I don't hear people complaining or razzing Al's Mud Ducks or the Plums.

I try and rip Rosetown when possible. They probably deserve another rip because they got 10 runned recently (insert joke here).

10-0 is obviously a nice start but it looks like they took the Glen Mason approach to their scheduling thus far.

The Lakers, Angels, and Osceola are all very solid teams. Atomic might also surprise a few people this year. Those aren't exactly "Louisiana Monroe".

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Shark never won the St. Paul League.

Won it a couple of times. Both when it didn't warrant a direct "State" bid. Once about 4-5 years ago and again back in the two division format, which moved onto a best 2 out of 3.

And you didn't go to state them years? It took forming the new Skyline league to get to state then uh. Not trying to pick on you just trying to understand.

We got bombed by an extremely loaded Wintz Trucking team the one year in the 2 out of 3, not gonna lie. Not sure about the other year. It's never easy to make it through the playoffs in the old St. Paul League or in the new Skyline League. There are always a lot of solid teams.

A while back. 17-16 win by them in game one at Totino Grace with 11 combined homers. Great game, even though the score was out of hand with aluminum. They beat us in game two 10-0 at Irondale on a no-hitter by their pitcher. Their team was really loaded back then.

Can we live in the present? I'm the oldest at 25, which makes 2000 the last revelant year to any player on our team.

State Champions of 2006 and Tri City Shark belong in the same sentence this year baby!

Why is it that all the Shark "haters" write, read and speak at a 2nd grade level? If you are going to post something, at least use one of those 1980's Speak and Spell.

There should be a tourney that you have to be bombed to play the game. everyone has to blow .20 or higher to participate. that would make for some interesting games for sure. someone should get that started!

I can personally verify that back in the Wintz days we were most certainly drinking before games, but not so much these days. We just aren't that good and need to be sober to play decent.

I do remeber the games referenced above, they were very fun to hit in, not to field in, I'll take wooden bats anyday! Wood bats get us to the parking lot faster which equals more drinking, and that ladies is what it is truly all about!

pizzle, they do have games in which you're drunk when you play.... it's called softball. Maybe you should try that.
The Wintz pitcher who threw the no-hitter was Jim Conlee. I can't remember a bigger turn of events than those 2 games, scoring 17 and then getting no-hit. And the residents around Totino Grace had to keep the kids indoors during that first game for fear of getting drilled by a homerun ball.
