| let me first say what a good job john whelan and tommy hickey have done putting together another year i imagine that its more difficult that i know.even though my team may not win very much or from the way this year has begun maybe even ever.that would not bother me in the slightest,i truely love going up there seeing friends having my kids play at the park, always a good evening.i biked home with my kids last night somewhat stunned at the lack of sportmanship some of the players on the oposing team showed, maybe even more sad for the individuals rather than stunned, who knows.anyway as a favor to the catcher, dont you think its kind of silly to be yelling "good one!!" as the ball reaches the plate?let me make sure i stress i am in no way bitter for a loss, you guys can play softball very well, however i would rather lose the way we did and act like gentlemen.p.s i would also like to thank the ryans for putting together the stats and website, you guys dont get enough credit.

| I concur. The RYANS do a great job running the site. Now if they would only stop hitting the ball to right field, my world would be a better place!

| If you are going to get upset about the catcher cheering his pitcher on by saying GOOD ONE maybe you should retire or try another sport. There is nothing wrong with that even if the score is 40-0. So lighten up and have some fun at the field

| To try to explain that a catcher saying "good one" while a pitch is in the air is cheering on the pitcher rather than an attempt to distract the batter is even more pathetic than the catcher actually calling "good one". If your pitcher's self esteem is so fragile that he needs to hear that his pitch was a "good one" before it reaches the plate, perhaps he is the one that needs to retire, and maybe seek some consuling.
