| i see we play only one game sunday regardless because all the teams agreed to that stipulation prior to the playoffs by "mutual agreement" definately sounds like something midway would not mutually agree to

| Well there was definately no mutual agreement but after much consideration we are only playing ONE GAME on Sunday either way. It is supposed to be 98 degrees and we need to be able to take care of business anyway.
Spread the word, game time is 1:30

| Good. We should only need one anyway.

| Makes no sense to me. Winning last Sunday really didn't mean that much then, and obviously seeding for Regions is important this year.

| I thought playoffs were double elimination, all I can say is we better win Sunday.

| WTF.....2-0 is single elim now. I know i wasn't at that meeting, but who would think it is a good idea. If anything....there shouldn't even be a game on Sunday if it would only be one. Give the team that went 2-0 the first weekend the vernie throphy. In both our cases we need to just get it done.....but smells a bit. Good Luck Birds!

| The seeding doesn't mean as much as people might think. If we win we would play B-E then the winner/loser of Wolf Lake/FF. If we lose we will play FF then the winner/loser of WL/B-E.
Tough draw. Either way we are going to have to play our best ball, and if we do we can beat anyone.
If Hank doesn't know about this and we didn't know about it I wonder who did?

| It was obviously a fabricated notion by Roy. And yes winning sunday was still huge as we don't have to play that elimination game. Bottom line Wolf Lake has to come to Midway where you know they don't like to play. It shouldn't matter anyway if we just win.
And if we lose, big deal life goes on we are in regions and we would get a shot to knock off the best team right away. BRandon Evansville owns WL anyway.

| another point of interest. The team that is 2-0 and loses that first game (close) always loses the next one (by a lot). Examples: 2001 Midway up 2-0 on the Sox. They come to Midway and sweep a DH, first game was close, second a blowout. 2002: Midway up 2-0 on WL. The Pack wins in 15 innings and then wins like 8-2. 2005: WL up 2-0 on Mid. The Birds win in close fashion and then pound them. add that to 98 degree weather and the fact that we have a tough game either way, let's just play one and win it.
