| hey guys i was wondering what teams would be interested in a lower level tourney mostly of coventry sunday teams and maybe some other teams of equal competition. It would be on a saturday in the middle or end of september . I would like some imput on some rules you would like to see . I was thinking a one pitch unlimited arch tourney 3 to five homeruns or another rule that i have heard on is calling your shot . If you hit the home run its double if you don't the other team gets the runs . I could maybe make the tourney pool play we would have maybe 3 or 4 pools in which 4 teams play each other once and then fall into seeding for a single elimination . This way you are guarenteed at least three games . So i would like to know your interest and imput . This would be great for the younger teams who dont have the chance to play in to many tourneys .

| Hey Artie, I think the Pub would be interested since we don't get any tournament play, and my guys are pretty much inexperienced so it would be nice to get in.
I would have to know the date with pretty good notice since alot of us work up at the ACI and would have to put in for the day early.

| hey guys a idea someone had was the winning team gets a keg . i thought this would be a great idea . kidding aside this will be a great tourney for the coventry teams and the younger league teams because i am going to try to filter out the stacked teams .

| hey i think this is going to happen i am trying to get feilds . i was also kicking around the idea of a skills competition . homeruns , fasted around the bases , longest throw , most accurate throw . I even made one up i'm gonna call it bust a shin stack a couple beer cans and see who can snipe them out from the plate . more info later.

| Hey Artie,
Could we use it as a fundraiser in memory of Cappy and give any proceeds to his wife? When I started in this league 20+ years ago, he was my first coach and as I'm sure JR would attest to, he was a great man and friend! I think it would be a nice gesture from the new teams and players to pay tribute to someone who has done so much for this league.
I would be happy to help any way I can to make this happen. Just let me know.

| kevin we are running the tourney to raise money for the super worlds in vegas but if we get enough teams i think we could make a donation . i have sold tickets for the bat already . but like i said if we get plenty of teams i will make a donation. so try to get your team in when i get the dates out and recruit a couple more team because i think you play in other leagues .

| i am meeting with greg flori on saturday to get a date for the tourney looking at mid september we will work around playoffs if need be .looking to start friday afternoon on hopefully clegg and all the fields at city park and then go to clegg at 800 or so for the homerun derby.

| if i read correctly this tourney is for the lower less excperianced teams if so i will talk to me team and see if the wyld stallions are up for it cause this league knows you can't get any more bottom of the barrel than us
