I asked James if he'd help me type a message to you and he graciously accepted. So here goes: First of all, thanks for a great season, and for participating in a sport that so many of us love!! Thanks for giving it your best even though the end result was not what we wanted. Its great that all of you have the great Finnish word called SISU- fortitude and power. God has given you all so much talent, and I'm happy that you are using it to the fullest.
On another note, the 3rd Annual Midway Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, September 24th, 2006, with registration beginning at 11:00 a.m. and golfing to begin at 12:00. Thanks to all of you who participated last year; it would be great if you can rally a team together this year as it takes all of us Snurdbirds to make it successful. Mike will be making a flyer :) and we'll be going around getting sponsors (if you have any ideas on sponsors let us know).
Thanks to all of you who purchased food at the food shack. The money received from the food shack and admission go towards paying umps, field maintenance (mowing, weed removal), tournaments, and liability insurance; and the list goes on and on.
Also, thanks to Dusty and Eddie Cakes for the new "major league" benches in the dug out---its quite impressive.
Thanks again and we'll see you on the 24th!! Barb

Thanks for all your hard work Barb. We're hoping for a big turnout for the golf outing this year!

Yes, Thank you very much Barb, Terry and friends. I couldn't imagine Midway games without the food shack. Man, that would really suck now that I think about it.

More tourney info, as in past years (I assume) it is a $50 entry fee per person and its a 4 person scramble ($200 per team).
