| Why start the bullshit..seasons over. They had a great season, just congratulate them or shut the hell up. Do you think it is possible that the photo posted has to do with the fact that they were the last team standing representing this side of the river?....where were you???? If you have a beef with the photo talk to the photographer who submits them on this site. Maybe if you ever advance farther than Rosetown once in your career then you too could have a photo on the site.

| Richards (catcher for Tonka) hit a walk off bomb, two outs in the bottom of the 9th, 4-4 game in the first one. It cleared the 420 sign in left center by a ways. Absolutely demolished. The 2nd game was 4-1 Tonka, but didn't watch it. Tonka is just ridiculously loaded.

| And the Shark wonder why they don't get any respect. Shark Attack your an idiot. I'll give you guys your dues when it comes to your regular season record but when you go 0 - 2 at State and then come on here and start some stupid shit about seeing Rosetown pictures on here you have a problem. I think you need to get some professional help. And to Rosetown and the other St. Paul teams great job.

| I think we need to play Bud Selig and contract Minnetonka. Then, in the dispersal draft, every other team in Class A can receive one of their former minor leaguers.

| I can finally see why Tri-City is hated by all. Rosetown made a run in the Tournament and they deserve to have pictures on the welcome page.
The St. Paul league did have a good showing with Sports Break giving Minnetonka a great run being up 2-0 in the sixth and losing in the Bottom of the 9th to the eventual champs.
Good Year boys, except for the shark. I can't wait for my Tri-City Shark Hooded Sweatshirt to come in the mail. I thought I should hold off until Christmas to get off-season pricing but I couldn't contain myself. GO SHARK!!

Entry #: 1543063 Didn't the St. Paul league fair much better than the Skyline in the last 2 tourneys, recordwise? I don't know if there is a state champ amoung us, but the St. Paul League teams will represent themselves well winwise(and with class I might add). Tim from Saints remember this? look at me now.

| Three ex-minor leaguers...I can think of three without any effort from affiliated ball, and several more from independent.
Definitely they deserve congratulations and were the best team in the tournament, but you guys are selling yourselves a little short. Both St. Paul leagues have some great teams that are more than capable of beating anyone, certainly better than the Park National teams.
Wesley Homes "as a team" won one game against Lyons Pub (an interleague game I might add), they got 100% lucky against Commanding Edge, and the best pitcher in Class A baseball won their other game, when "the team" needed to win they went 0-2.
Just my take. You guys bash a lot of teams that are pretty damn good.

| Chris,
I also agree both the St. Paul and Skyline leagues have several great teams that definitely get sold short on this forum. However, your comment “certainly better than the Park National” doesn’t seem accurate based on this year’s results. While you are correct a team like Wesley Homes doesn’t have the hitting that say a Minnetonka, SLP, or Rosetown does, they do have quality pitching which we all know wins games. To discount that as not winning “as a team” because they have a shut down #1 pitcher in Fleetham is ridiculous. They definitely got some timely breaks against Commanding Edge but then proceeded to earn two wins against Lyon’s Pub and Minnetonka respectively and in the 1st championship game against Minnetonka lost 5-4 on a solo home-run in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. To win it last year and finish 2nd this year takes more than the “best pitcher in Class A baseball” to do.
As far as the other Park National Teams, Lyon’s Pub beat Rosetown 8-7 and then eventually lost to them in the rematch 5-4 which was St. Paul’s lone remaining team. Also, the Mpls Angels won their first 2 games then lost to the eventual champ Minnetonka and then SLP 4-2 in the 9th on a dropped fly ball that scored 2 runs. Thus, to not give the Park National credit this year doesn’t seem fair. Bottom line is good teams find a way to win.

| You're probably right about the Park National, but in my opinion at the end of the year the best team from their league was the Angels whether they finished 1ST or last. That's simply my opinion, I think they have better hitting and defense, and aside from Fleetum very comparable pitching. Lucky and unlucky breaks matter whether it's good teams finding a way to win or not, luck does play apart. I'd bet each team could point to several lucky or unlucky breaks (uncontrollable situations, not a walkoff home run) that helped or hurt them. When teams are fairly evenly matched good/bad breaks can play a significant part in the final outcome
I'm certainly not trying to knock Wesley Homes they've had to very successful years but to go 11-6 outside your league isn't a strong enough showing to me to be convinced they're the cream of the crop in Class A baseball the last two years. I recognize their top two or three pitchers are very good, but none of the teams got there without at least that.
I'd put Commanding Edge up against anyone, Rosetown clearly is Championship caliber and if Tri-City and Sports Break manage to stay together there could be a few championships amoung them. The younger teams are clearly more dominate in the St. Paul Leagues, along with the Bulldogs in the Riverview, Wesley Homes and the Angels have a decent mix as well.
I predict the St. Paul Leagues to have a corner stone on Championships in the not to distant future.
