| So it seems as though my "best defensive team" topic was a big success on the forum. Some recent posts on that topic gave me the idea for my newest post. I know its slow pitch softball, but as the game has progressed so have the brave souls that stand way too close to you monsters with bats pitching you a big ass ball, underhand no less! So who do we think is the best pitcher in this league? Take into account his hitting, but try hard to focus on how they play their position. My vote is for Dave Hoch from the team I play for, Baxter's. I've caught for him many times and he's the most consistent strike thrower I've seen. To the point to when he throws a bad one, the guys will still swing at it cause they're afraid it'll find a way to land for a strike. And as a hitter the hardest thing for me to hit is a pitch that paints the highest point of the arc allowed, and land in the deepest part of the strike zone, and Dave throws those with ease. Also as a hitter, Dave can hit lazers to any part of the field. He's left handed and hits harder shots down the 3rd base line than I can as a righty. Lets hear what you all have to say. I have a feeling Rob Raymond is gonna win this, but lets hear it anyways.

| I have watched Rob for a few years drop the ball wherever he wants to. He averages something like 3 walks per year. Dave is probably a better hitter but I would take Rob any day.

| Yep....I would have to go with Rob too, and hey he can play some second base too! Did I mention he runs a mean blender.

| Benny from europa is by far the best pitcher in the league, they wouldn't have half of there wins if it wasn't for him
