| All this talk about defense. Who is the best hitter?? Can't really go by stats - lots of teams pad stats. We have played teams and then look at the posted stats they are way off.

| I agree that stats are tough to go by to determine who the best hitters actually are. Some of the fields really work to pad stats with some guys depending on their strenghts. Washinton Oak and Club Jogues help and Fish Hill and Rice probably hurt. How much damage would the VFW lefties do at the oak as compared foster?
From the guys that I have seen and played with or against over the last few years I would give props to Ernie Wright from VFW, Scott Beverly from PNA, and Craig Riley from JR's. I don't know Keenan. He hit the ball against us but I have not seen him play much so maybe next year he can crak the list.

| Yeah Scott Beverly, Ryno I'll toss you in there, Chris Knight was flat out bad...Riley is an animal, Big Jim Desimone....and what Mertog post would be complete without a shout out to Danny Howard, and Mark Costello.

| So true that the fields play a huge role. Best hitter for average is easy, just find the highest average in the league. Don't know who that is offhand. Best power hitter, no one wows me like Chris Knight. If he played half his games at foster he'd lead the league in homeruns every year. The funny part is he hits pop ups with that uppercut swing of his.....the pop ups just happen to go 500 feet. Best opposite field power, gotta go with the Ryno. I've come near to shittin myself last fall when I was playin first and he turned to shoot the ball my way. Thankfully it went over my head.....way over my head. Best slap hitter, gotta keep it real to my team and say Dave Hoch. And last but not least, best pop up hitter, yours truely. Hit em with ease. Occasionally sacrifice a run.

| Best hitter in the league? Easy..Artie..hes been consistantly hitting Jay C in the ass for 3 years and does a pretty good job hitting lefty too when he gives Boy Ernie a poke.
