| some leagues are going to a 5 foot area next to pitchers mound . hit through this area are an automatic out and dead ball. this is in an effort to keep from killing the pitcher.

| the picther has a glove too. if he doesn't want to be out there find someone that does the balls are deader in most leagues if not all the bats are being restricted to some degree and most people are pretty good about not shooting the middle plus in sunday morning you have an over the middle guy so most people don't shot middle because you have to beat two guys. were are they doing this or is it just a proposal

| The talent level in this league is high enough that we don't need a rule like that. We don't even need an over the middle guy honestly, although I like how it gets more guys in the game, but anyways. All the pitchers in this league know what they're doing, as do thirdbaseman, as do firstbasemen. Anyone who purposely tries to shoot the ball at the pitcher is an asshole, doesn't mean the game is flawed.

| there is no way im going to play in a league where if you accidentally get a base hit up the middle you are out. what a joke. People need to decide if this league is for holding hands and having fun. Or to get a little bit of serious competition in your life and improve as a softball player. I love this league because people that don't have any experience can learn the game and improve. Plus there are enough "serious" players that almost every week you have a good game.

| THAT IS THE STUPIDEST THING EVER WRITTEN ON THIS SITE and theres been some pretty stupid shit guys who havent played b4 have no control over the ball = goes anyway middle left right u need to learn how to control it but puttin that rule in would b the worst thing for this league learn to defend yourself up the middle and if u cant go in the cages like in happy gilmore and take some off the chest then come back and talk

| Yeah I saw that awhile ago on another website, but it was a league with guys that were 50 and over. Maybe not a bad idea for them, but certainly unnecessary here. Lots of guys simply cannot place the ball as of yet and hit the middle by accident. As the old adage goes....shit happens. I agree with Artie 100%, go play something else if you're afraid.

| my man harry on my stallions team has taken a few right at him and was hit a few times cause he had no time to react but i think even he would say this is a retarded rule almost as bad as those leagues with the mat rule cause i played in one of those and it was horriable

| I hear ya Mac.....I know you're a man, anyone who plays with a fuckin mangled arm and comes back as quick as you did isn't a man, he's a fuckin beast.
