| Artie and his boys took care of business today by disposing of me and the boys from the PUB. We did our best to hang, but they were the better team this year and took two straight from us.
I just wanted to congratulate them and wish them luck in the rest of the playoffs as well as their trip to Vegas. Great bunch of guys and a bunch of great ball players, good luck the rest of the way.
The kids from the Pub did a nice job this year and I tip my hat to them for having a very good rebuilding year. We didn't expect to even make the playoffs this year, and really were just looking to be competitive and not just be a BYE week for the rest of the league, and we actually did a decent job. Last year we were 2 and 28 and this year 18-10, huge swing, so I have no complaints. As I have said a million times before, we take our ass whoopin, admit the other team was better, shake their hands, and work to improve. See you next year! Mertog Out!

| Thanks Mertog. You guys are a good team and one that cant be taken lightly thats for sure (far from the bye every week, that you said you didnt want to be). I wish I could have played but had to settle for third base coach this time around. I look forward to tangling with you guys again next year, and maybe i can see some action in the fall against your squad.

| Thanks mertog. I just went to the dr's and should be out another 4 weeks so it looks like the 2006 season is done for me. Saves Artie the trouble of cutting me this year now he can wait until next year to tell me he doesnt need 3 first basemen.

#1 It was a JOKE, not that we wouldn't love to have Ernie, we definately would love a guy like that on our team, but it was still just playing around.
#2 As for Neil he has been friends with Derek for a long time and it was mentioned that he might want to play for us, but it never materialized, then he put up a message saying he wanted to play for another team, so we gave him a call.
#3 I'm not trying to steal anyone away from their teams, but if players are not happy with their team and want to come over I'm not going to say no either.
#4 As for my SLAPNUTS (as you call them) the only thing their slapping against is your chin.
