Good job Andrew! Placed 3rd in the State Series race. Wasn't the fastest, but very consistant and only finished 2 laps down to Art(TQ & Winner) DJ's times looked fast, but he must have had a mechanical 'cause he finished 8th.

Hmmm...looking at the pics and results may have me reconsidering and jumping back into this. Let's see how I feel around Christmas :D

Thanks guys. I would first like to thank Art for his help with the car setup, Maxy for providing me with an excellent engine and fuel, and Howard for helping with the pitting.

My car handled excellent all weekend. The track had fairly good traction, but tremendous tire wear.(About 2.5mm in 5 minutes) I was able to put in a descent qualifier on Saturday, placing me 6th in the A-main. DJ held the TQ most of the weekend, but on the last qualifier Art had a great run and took TQ position away from him.

The race was very exciting from the start with Art staying in front the entire race. I focused on running consistent laps and staying clean which was good enough to finish third. So in the end two MTX-4s finished in the top 3. Also Juaquin took the TQ in 1/8 and ended up taking 1st in his race. It was a very good weekend for Team Mugen and a great start to the state series.

Looking forward to the next state race in Kissimmee next month. Go Mugen!!!

guys seems theres going to be some very good racing at the track in future considering the talent thats going to be out there. Just a reminder for those that dont have a transponder now is a good time to pick one up on ebay before everyone scrambles later when we put the loop down and more people start practice. The loop and computer will be there this weekend. For those that dont know the transponder tracks your lap times and must be installed to race. ebay has some good pricing on used ones. Get them now while u can.

Eric is in need of new equipment, MTX4 or Serpent 720, or even the Kyosho RRR. There's some good deals out there, either Miami RC or even Warrick's. You have Art, DJ, or even Robert Maestre with the Kyosho RRR.

Suggestion from DJ:

You guys can also go to expedia and put in Florida City or the track Address and find the closest motels/hotels.

Econo Lodge Florida City - this one is only 59.00 on expedia.

There are a lot of hotels in the area. The Comfort Inn is probably the nicer one.

Eric is retired from competition. Dominating so much wasn't fair to the guys. :D I will be there for the enduro to take some pics and help the racers if they need. And yes, I would need a new chassis and engine to run again, but the finances are going other ways now, so that's not happening anytime soon. :/

People the rules are easy to follow so be ready. There are also rules for teching your car. It is very important to start on time, not a minute later. it gets dark early, but there is time if we run things smooth. It takes everyone to make this happen.
