Well since the Lady Rams get started tonight thought it was about the time to give a season preview type of thing.

The Lady Rams semm to have a solid group back not alot of height but looks as though they maybe a scrappy bunch. 3 or 4 seniors who will be asked to carry pretty much all the load. They will probably be an uptempo team on offense with a pressing trapping style on defense. It might come down to how well the other players play their roles into how successful the Lady Rams will be. If they want Husnaker to do it all then come sectional time it's bad news. If the rest of the seniors with some of the younger players step up then it will be a pretty good season. Beyond the starting 5 I don't know how much experience the bench will provide they will be young but if they play alot then at the end of the season they should be good. They should win most of their games however with being a young team besides the seniors if they hit a stretch where they lose 2 or 3 in a row could have problems keeping the younger players mindset to winning and get them away from worryin about making bad passes or not. I don't their record will be good but not shocking not somethin like 21-1 or 20-2. I see them winning from 12-14 games. Which is good with a young team.

The Rams are a team headed back to the top of the mountain. This year unlike recent years they have a solid group of underclassmen and The Freshmen-Juniors will get more playing time. Fot the team to be successful this season they have to get back to "Playing like Paoli" and it means controlling the rebounds on the offensive and defensive side. Shoot the ball better another season like last year then they won't get anywhere. From what I am predicting the starting 5 to be is a solid group in my opinion the starting 5 should be

PG: Laswell/Warner
SG: Crecelius
SF: Goodman
PF: Andry
C: Lankford

All 5 have the ability to make the 3 point shot. They could go with 3 guards and 2 forwards just to have one of the starting 5 i mentioned to bring some spark of the bench as a 6th man. Lankford last year on varsity was the only player who showed some post moves. And also showed that with a little work he could be a pretty good post player. Goodman is probably the better athlete out of the starting 5 who could play 4 positions but he's a better slasher and rebounder and I think putting him at Small Forward could prve a mismatch problems against other teams. Andry and Crecelius could be good role players. They both have shown they can score if asked upon and that's what they will be asked to do this season. Laswell by the time he's a senior will be a real good point guard might be a little rusty his Freshemn year starting Varsity. But that is natural for a kid asked to lead the team as a Freshmen. The bench is the key hwo deep will they go and hpw young will they be? Just going from last year I would say a rotation would be Duke, Evans, Kee, Long, White, mixed in with some Freshmen. Plus the Freshemn may start ayt somepoint durng the season who knows but the bench has to be solid to help out the starting 5. I think The Rams will have a good season they could have as many wins as they past two seasons wins total combined. They should lose around 6-8 games. Which is great and it's also great building tot he future.

Anyway I'm done rambling on

As I have posted before about the Rams having to control the rebounding. The Rams struggled with that at the scrimmage in which they were blown away 25-7 in the 1st quarter. If they control the boards the will win the majority of their games. Looking at the schedule the Rams should win the majority and put Paoli basketball back on the map. If they play "Paoli Basketball" then they will pull off the clean sweep of wiining the PLAC Conference and Sectional possibly even Regional who knows. Should be a pretty good year for the Rams.
