| I did an estimated comparison of the fees/game of the MSBL vs. Cahokia.
MSBL = $2775/25 games = $111/game
Cahokia = $2500/37 games = $68/game
Another way of looking at it, if both leagues play 25 games then:
MSBL = $2775 Cahokia = $1700
Cahokia is $1075 cheaper comparing 25 games played.
After playing in the MSBL several years, now you know one reason why we joined the Cahokia League.
The Cahokia fees are based on $7/game for balls, umpire fee of $47/game, and a percentage of the league fee ($500/37).

| Not to mention every team must sell or pay $100.00 for an add in the Memorial Day tourney program. Even if they are not playing . So the total for the year is $2875.00 for 24 regular season .

| Don't get me wrong. The point is that the MSBL is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!! If you compare it to the other leagues around, Affton, CYC, North County, Ellisville, and Cahokia. All of these leagues are cheaper than the MSBL.
Archie: Please do not raise the fees unless necessary. We are so much better off being an independent league compared to the MSBL.
I also learned that if you are not already playing in the MSBL, I believe you have to not only pay the entry fee to the tournament, but also $25 extra per player. Do I have my facts straight?

| I agree, it is a bit overpriced and that factored into my decision choosing Cahokia because we considered both. However, and this is not a knock on Cahokia, but I really enjoy playing there, but the msbl does play on some pretty nice fields, and I think that is where a lot of the cost is going.
I havent played in that tourney, but I do believe you are correct, 25 bucks extra per player not in the msbl.

| The fields are about 50/50. There are a few that are extremely nice, think a green skating rink. But there are a number that arent very good fields at all. Its kind of cool to play the different fields, but conversely I like how we play here, and can hang around and watch the games b4 and after as well. Frankly, some of you hang around TOO long.
