| Wow... there is really no word to describe how blessed I felt after this weekend in Orlando. As many of you know, this was my last competition- now that I'm 19, I'm too old to cheer at the senior level and I can't do open. I will still be coaching though, so I hope to pass my passion for cheerleading onto every athlete that walks through those gym doors! But to all of the parents, friends, and family that pulled me aside and said something to me this weekend, thank you! You made it a lot easier for me knowing that I had such awesome support. I've cheered for 10 years and this weekend, especially yesterday, was the hardest days of my life. I have only cheered on all stars for 2 years, and luckily, they were both spent at Ultimate. Ever since I first step foot into the gym, I felt welcomed by everyone there. Especially by Bobby and Sherry- without them, I wouldn't be where I am today. They truly are my 2nd parents and I love them so much. Ty, Lainie, Faith, Bob, Jay, Mickey, Tom, Niki, and everyone else at the gym- thank you so much for everything you have ever done for me!
To my coed team- yesterday was for you guys! I didn't go out there and give 110% for me- I did it for you. When that 2 minutes and 30 seconds was over yesterday, I could hardly walk. I went out there and left it all on the mat for the first time in my life. And I did it because I wanted to prove once and for all, that coed had what it takes!!! We have worked so hard all year and just haven't had the best of luck. But this weekend, we truly shined! And not to mention, we finally got our sweatshirts!!! Which we hands down deserved! When I got to the competition Friday night, the first words out of my mouth was "I wanna end it with coed. That's my team, it always has been- I want to get my jacket with them before it's all over" and guess what!? We did it! And we gave the judges our best performance of the year!! I love each and every one of you guys and I'm so glad I got to spend my last days cheering with you! I can't wait to see you all grow and get better next season! You will all truly kick some butt!!
