| It can now be confirmed the umpire fee for 2007 will be $47 per umpire per game.
At the recent umpire meeting the subject of throwing equipment was discussed. The practice will be frowned upon. The umpires will rule on the severity of the infraction on a per incident situation. Ejections could result. We do not have league-wide problem with this, nor do we want one.
The umpires were also instructed be as clear as possible about calls. This will be done of course without compromising individual style and flair.

| I'm going to be direct, the umpire vernon(i think that's his name) is really bad. What can we do about this..? I know he makes bad calls against all teams, but he doesn't hustle to get into position to make the call and then just guesses. It would'nt be a problem if he would ask for help. This is very frustrating for all and leads to a disrespect for the guys in blue. Vernon is blatantly brutal. Is there a solution here?

| I think a fine and maybe a suspension is in order after that. I'm thinking 3 games, probably May 12th, June 23rd, and July 25th.
