| Just a quick update... Cards lost again(ha,ha,ha) and the Cubs won...again...
As for the 98 years off loosing, thats also 98 years of the Cardinals getting their aces handed to them by the Cubs... If their so good...then why can't they beat the Cubs...ever?
Just a couple thoughts of mine... GO CUBS!!!

| For the record I am a quiet Cubs fan unless provoked. Rusty is a little crazy and he speaks for himself. My point is all you see is red when their winning, you gotta know the updated score all night when were playing. When your losing nobody even brings up the cards. Kinda funny. I wear my Cubs hat no matter what.

| You guys are the exact reason I hate the Cubs and the dumb-asses that follow them. First you make jokes about a person being killed-thats mature- then you claim that the only goal is to beat the Cards???? Maybe the goal should be to win a world series, The Cards dont have to worry about beating the Cubs casue they never play each other in the post season.... I mean talk about a horrible franchise, everyone knows wrigley field would be dead withouth alcohol, a bunch of drunken idiots. I think the owners are drunken idiots also, instead of spending money where they struggle like pitching, they throw 135 million to a guy that had 1 good year and a few average years. Not to mention Kerry Wood and Mark Prior, good investments there-how many wins have those 2 combined for in the past 3 years?????? But i guess it would all be different if it wernt for Steve Bartman right, not the fact that the shortstop booted a routine double play ball or they still got beat in the game 7 of that series but hey lets just blame a fan who did what anyone else would have done. I mean seriously 98 years, they arent even the loveable losers anymore, they are just losers. But hey THIS IS THE CUBS YEAR!!!!!! Thats only been said for 98 years in a row, and i dont see it changing within the next 5 or 6.......

| So much hate. The pitcher dying would have been a tragedy if he wasn't hammered. 2 times the legal limit. Did the tow truck driver get hurt. That would be a tragedy. He was a known alcoholic who drove drunk regularly. I feel sorry for the victim not the drunk that hit him!!

| i wish the cubs would spend money on real pitchers like carpenter and moulder. how many wins do they got this year. and you hate cubs fans, all i can say is your gonna hate us a lot more win the years over.

| The cards blamed a world series loss on some umpire back in the 80's. The cubs have had some of the best pitching this year, including 2 wins with marquis over the cards. Woods and Prior are'nt being paid much $ this year. Because they've been so horrible the last few years. Alfonso Soriano is overpaid but hes still been more productive this year than poo holes. But your giving the cards to much credit, thinking were just trying to beat the cards. Untill the cards guys get back out of the cellar all were looking at is the brewers.

The tarp crew was the one and only reason the Cards didn't win in 85'. If Coleman doesn't get hurt, it's not even close. George Brett has even said that.
It's okay though. You guys are Cubs fans. I have the utmost sympathy for all of you :D

| we are still talking about the cubs who are in second to the brewers. they are 3 games up on the cards but they have blown alot bigger leads than that. they will be below cards by allstar break.

| 1st. I can't believe the cat fighting, ain't neither team going anywhere fast right now. Hopefully both team upright the ship and fight for division and National League title. Does not look good for either team.
2nd. Anyone killed in their prime is a tragedy no matter how it happens or the cause or what team they play for. It would have made the situation worse and a bigger tragedy if he would have taken an innocent life with his own.

| All I have to say is GO CUBS!!! and lets not forget Pujo and the Cards Suck no matter what!!!
As for the Cards pitcher, its sad that he died but I am more thankful that he didn't take anyone with him. Being a professoinal baseball player making millions of dollars, he should be a little more thankful and alot better role model for the kids that look up to him and that want to one day be him.

| Actully Marquis was good at the beginning of the year for us also. Wait till he has a few bad games then that guy gets his head all messed up and wont pitch good for anything, when hes on hes dominant, when he had one bad game its all downhill from there.
