TOPIC: Summer league will be my last league. |

| I would like to let everyone know that this summer’s league will be the last league that I will be involved in helping to run at Pyramid Park, at this time. I have volunteered in helping run the leagues at Pyramid Park for over 2 years and now with my newborn, no longer have the time, energy or desire to devote to being one of the volunteers that helps with the league, the issues or questions regarding it.
I am drafting a letter to the Marion Park District in hopes that they take over or hire someone to run the leagues. They own the fields and the surrounding property and they would be best capable of running the league. They could directly hear and deal with issues about the fields, lights, bathrooms, concessions, alcohol at the park, etc.., that none of us could have control over. I believe that the Carbondale League is run by the Carbondale Park District and I haven’t heard many complaints from people who play in that league.
I will not be helping to organize any fall leagues at Pyramid Park. I will let the park district know that this week so if anyone else wants to organize it, they will have time to do so.

Great job saving a sinking ship a few years back. We all owe you a big thanks for allowing us to play and enloy the league. I can only hope that w/out a leader the league does not fold, let's hope the park district can find a replacement soon. Thank you again.

| I truly believe that without concessions, alcohol and a leader this park will fold.. The other parks have it all but not this one. Sorry to see it go. Good job Dan!!

| this better be a wak-up call to the MARION PARK board!! If they don't get it right, softball "mens, church , & Co ed" & even the great DRAFT fun fall league will GO DOWN!! Danny thanks for puttin up w/ everyones complaints , questions & everything between... I still think w/ the amount of time & headache & responsibility it should be a PAID possition!! NO FREE LUNCH !!! it is 2007!! NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!!

| Hey, I'm focusing on staying down in front of the ball kid, the rest will come. Plus "I got it" was never said. It was "ball". lol
But on a serious note, I got a phone call from someone today and things may actually work out pretty well for all. Hopefully I'll have something up next week with a plan/direction.
