| Apparently the Mpls City Council wanted to raise the rent to an unimaginable amount per game to use Parade Stadium, which left the Class A teams in a tight spot. Alternatives are being discussed, such as Chaska/Shakopee. Great facilities both offering affordable options for the state baseball tourney. One negative to this location is the added distance for the "East Coast" representatives from the St. Paul leagues.
Although it may not make much difference.
The balance of power seems to have shifted over the past ten years. Only one of the final six teams last year were East-siders. Park National had 3 of the final six teams from last year. Riverview teams have won 8 of the last 10 State championships.

| Even though I'm not playing anymore, this makes me sick. Fortunately, my girlfriend plans to run for City Council in the near future and she will nip this in the bud.

| Parade has a great backdrop, but I will maintain that the field is full of terrible hops. Still, it makes for a nice intimate state tourney and as centrally located as possible.
Midway? Minnetonka?
The Park board should be hearing some loud voices over this! How do we find out who's on the board and who to talk to?

| That's very unfortunate if that is true. If anyone has any pub on the matter, send it to me and I can post the info on the home page.
What does the Minnesota Baseball Association do in this situation to help Class A?
Too bad their is not a quaint ballpark at the State Fairground.

| Maybe they could hold the state tournament at NEAF. Then all the 12 year old thieves lurking nearby could have a much larger selection of cars to choose from. Either that or we could hold the tournament in one of the board members' front yards. Not like they'd notice...

| Perhaps the Park National teams consider cutting back a large portion of Parade games during the regular season to some degree, thus saving some money on their end, plus less money going to the city for use of the park. Move more of the regular season games to Ft. Snelling (....I know) and save Parade for State. You would think rent would come down or the city would be getting nothing for a park sitting empty. This just doesn't make sense.

| If you play in 1 the best league, you should have the opportunity to play in the best park available!
