| does anyone have any info on this golf tournament i have heard a few people talking about, i`ve heard of a date but thats it.

| September 22 at the Praires Golf Course in Cahokia. Probably $65 per person to be paid before the tournament date. $65 includes golf and dinner. I believe a meeting will be held to discuss particulars and a flyer is being prepared so we can get non-baseball players in this tournament. It's a fund-raiser, mainly to improve the lighting and possibly more infield dirt.

| The basic info on golf tourney will be posted on website home page shortly. We will need donation items for raffle and tourney prizes. Any non-players willing to donate grunt time will be greatly appreciated. A concerted team effort can make this event a great success.

| Hey Denny, I'm not sure but my money is on you misspelling The "Prairies" Golf Course. I guess spelling isn't a pre-rec for that Pizza Delivery job though so I'll let that one slide.

| Is the league putting out a letter asking for donations/prizes? I know that when you go out asking for donations they usually want a letter so they can file it to cover the donation.

| I have 2 for sure teams that want to play and another that will more than likely play. Do we want their money ahead of time and names by what date?

| We approaching 30 days out for the golf tournament. There are some things we are requesting from each team.
1} 3 golf teams per team
2} 3 hole sponsors { $50.00 per}
3} 3 prizes per team for raffle
This a benefit so any donations over and above these requests will help greatly. Any reservations can be secured by check payable to Fountain of Youth Baseball.
There will be a donation letter available to give to your sponsors. Any questions can be directed to me through your team managers.
Let's start SELLING!

| This could be a pretty simple format for the Tournament if every team pitches in...
10 teams in the League...
3 Golf teams per team = 30 teams or 120 golfers at approx. $100 profit or $3000 total
3 Hole Sponsors per team = 30 Sponsors at approx. $100 bucks each or $3000 straight profit
3 Prizes per team = 30 prizes for raffle and contests including flight prizes
This is not unreasonable to ask and will directly benefit us all and the viabilty of the league.
Plenty of people (myself included) like to talk big ideas, but it always seems to come down to a couple of people who do all the legwork so we can keep living the dream out in Cahokia.
Let's have a good turnout and support for this Tourney, it will be great time.
By the way...If anyone knows someone that could donate Beer, Soda and Water, that would also take care of off the top expenses...

| If we are going to have most teams register and pay the day of the tourney, it is necessary for early arrival. It will take time to get this done before tee off. It is apparent that this is how most teams are approaching the situation. We also need to start getting a list of donations and hole sponsors to know where we stand. Raffle tickets will be available for a dollar a piece or 20 for ten dollars for the drawing after the tourney. This will be conducted after the meal.Managers need to keep me abreast of how we are progressing. The window is now ELEVEN days.

I have some two for one gigt cards from Golf Discount. I also have a new putter and a gift certificate for a round of free golf, plus a guest from Triple Lakes for a Closest to the Pin contest or whatever we want to use it for. I will get more stuff too. The Pirates will Sponsor a hole.

| Arch/D Scott/Matt - the Cardinals will have at least 4 teams for the golf tournament so save us that many spots. Of course we won't have the money until that day at about 1:59PM so don't expect an early check.

| I have 4 tickets to a Blues game we can use as a prize. I also received no interest in attending from the email I sent out. From the other side of the river all you get is, "Cahokia?, wheres Cahokia?"

| norm, got you down for 4 teams, thanks for the early notice. and if there are still teams that hav`nt signed up yet please call myself(618-444-6234) or archie, because i got a call from the golf course today wanting to know if i knew how many golfers we will have on sat. so they can plan for food. and also you do not have to pay in advance, just as long as you pay sat before we tee-off.
