| First...lets recap a little...if beating JRs is lucky, then what is completing a no out, bases loaded, top of the 8th ..TRIPLE PLAY..basically to beat PNA is game 1? I'll tell you what it is..DIVINE INTERVENTION. Go to your Bibles, read Samuel 17 , if you want to know what is going to happen next week. Stevens, it all looks to close to call even on paper.. ( although Lessard counts as two fat guys )..but this is a lineup thick with hitters..I cant think of one advantage we have over these guys..wait a minute, except in one area..we got the fiery double hooped earring version of Bill Belichek..they got Zimmer. We have an athletic star player-coach..they got a bowling ball with legs. There is obviously no doubt that VFW is far far better hitting team on paper. What team wouldnt rake if they had a chance to get 4-5 exempt players in one year ( Campbell, GT, Petey, Lessard to name 4 )? The VFW Team is even better than Arties Hell Fire/Prata Bar Team..you know the one..that team that cant win the big one..unless you count the Class G states last year. We bow to your greatness but we still have to play the game...and who knows, maybe the underdog wins. Nobody roots for the overdog and hopefully Artus plays you at first so maybe we get a replay of Turkey Trot 2005

as for cheering for my clegg team all year yes i thank u for that but if u want to get techincal i dont think ive heard u say much good about me other than oh nice hit dipshit or damn whatd u lose a step or something way to end the inning but thats water under the bridge i wish everyone luck this weekend even if i havent cheered for u or them all year i think this is the best game that coventry has to offer because it has smitty ( the player/ coach ) who plays for artie in tournaments and other leagues vs artie ( the coach / player ) who plays when its needed and could honestly be one of the best coaches around UNLESS smitty beats him last year was a great year for artie the coach will this year be the same ? or is it smittys turn to get into the winning championship/ trash talking business hahaha just busting
flat out 2 really good teams more importantly like or dislike these teams they are good guys and people who i am proud to say are freinds

| fiskey the only excuses i care about are the shitty ones you will have for being late yet again this week. get your old ass to the fuckin field on time. too big of a bat to have out of the lineup. I know it takes alot longer to drag that old ass out of bed and rub out the bunyans from your feet, put the hot compress on the legs, and down the 100s of pills that an old timer like you takes, but come on set the alarm clock to 6am so you can make it.

| Ryno..PNA now stands for Portuguese National Association........Botelho Sports now holds the 2007 Sunday Coventry Title and the 2007 Warwick BLUE Division Title. As well as The Flag Football Champions Silverbacks and were 2006 Warwick Red Division Champs..we are on to something here...ahh..by the way, anyone know where the trophy is? Last I saw it, Teddy was slow dancing with it at Juniors ( swear ). This year was a lot of fun,,,a bunch of great guys as Mac puts it...a bunch of " once a weekers " who put it all together for one great summer. Our winning gives hope to all of the teams..Hell, Crowe now KNOWS they can win it all and DelPadre is certain the title is HIS next year. A bunch of singles, great D, a little luck..all adds up to a Championship. Preparation for next year begins today. Ian was great this year...its a thankless job running a team as most of you know...and he provides a perfect foil to the dasterdly Snidely Whiplash of the league...Artie. To be fair, Artie runs a great team as well...and we look forward to banging heads with them again next year. " It is while toiling on the fields of friendly strife we sow the seeds that on other fields, on other days, we reap the fruits of victory " ..Douglas Macarthur said that cool shit. | Guys; I just want to say that you have a great league going and I had a fantastic time playing this year. I play at Clegg as well and this league is what softball is all about. Seeing all the players from other teams come out to watch the finlas yesterday was awesome. Unfortunately it isn't often you see that anymore in RI softball with all the attitudes that exist. Also, to the Botelho's guys...great job. Having played for many, many teams throughout the years I can honestly say that this is probably the best "team" I have ever played for. No talking behind each others backs,finger pointing or complaining about where they play or bat. And seeing Teddy and Tommy slow dancing at Juniors with the trophy was one of the geatest things I have ever seen. It almost made me forget that I rear ended that lady on the off ramp before the game! Lastly, I should tell everyoe that I drove about 100 yards from Juniors, pulled my car over and called my wife to come pick me up. I cop came over and asked me what was up and I told him had just left the bar and realized I was way to hammered to drive. He simply responded with, "You made a good decision." and left me to wait the half hour for the bride to arrive. Good times.
