| Congratulations to Johnny's on a well-played series, handing the Gators their walking papers. At least I went out with an 0 for 4 bang. YAY! Great job and good luck against the A's. My money is on Johnny's. Eck is the man, thanks again for your service to the commonwealth and if you need a note to get out of a deployment, I will be happy to write that you are a nasty SOB and would bring ill will on foreign shores.VIVA the 2 out base hit!

| Yep, a big tip of my sweaty nasty cap to Johnny's and especially Eck today. Not meant to be insulting, but I don't think you probably had your best stuff the whole day, but found it when you needed it. Something to be said about stranding 12 baserunners and pitching out of trouble. No "B" team lineup for us today either, we had everybody. No excuses, no stupid errors this time, we got beat. We have lost games before when I felt that the better team didnt move on. Not this year. Now we have both knocked each other out of the playoffs, and that my friends, is a rivalry.
Sorry A's, I like you guys, but I gotta cheer for a change at the top. Good luck to both teams and hopefully we get an exciting finals to watch.

| Couple of good games. The scores weren't indicitave of how close they were. No one on our bench felt the games were safe at any point. In the seventh today, it was starting to look like a Johnny's choke job and lose.

| Goody, please, leave the choking to me.
We've never expected nor ever will expect anything but a good game when we play you guys. 11 games the past two years, and it's a 6-5 split, and pretty much all the games could have gone either way. Baseball doesnt get any better than that no matter how old you are, how good you are, or what league you play in.
You guys have certainly earned our respect and deserve some credit for not only winning but winning with dignity. Believe it or not, as slow as I am without being hurt, I've never been thrown out at first, but I NEVER would have expected anyone to apologize for it, and I heard it from 3 of you.

| Sad, but true...we had a 13 (?) run lead and the comeback started in Game 1. I'm sure I wasn't the only one thinking about the Phillies / Cards game the night before. Then game 2, score 5 and shut it down and hope that Eck can roll a few double play balls...maybe he should just try to strike some people out.
PS. Thanks again to the Cardinals, Quality Drinking after your game. I'm up before 6:00 this morning to start my week - Without a hangover.

| I thought they were kiddin when they said they were out of beer. I guess when you start off ordering 3 cases of beer some things just tend to get away from you after that. Sorry. Should be a good series - A's and Johnny's. Not pickin sides here, although Moo did score a few points with the cart girl at the golf tournament. Denny and Randy just don't cut it as beer girls.

| Cappy/Ben, thanks for the kind of words. And no you weren’t being insulting; I didn’t have my best stuff but was lucky enough to have some balls hit right at people when it counted. A lot of those could have gone either way. That’s baseball.
Tip of the cap to you guys at well. I have to say I really enjoy facing you guys. Every batter from one through nine puts up a battle. There was no letting up. And seeing some of those hacks you guys take is quite frightening. An exciting rivalry has definitely been formed. And as mightycasey said, those games could have gone either way. It doesn’t get any better than that.
I also have to give credit to our offense -- this is the hottest our bats have been all year. We got hot at the right time. Now we just need to stay hot for one more week.
And hope for rain…

| Careful with the French Dip, they disappear when you're not looking (or coherent).
