Surprise!
1. Southfield Lathrup (5-1)
2. Farmington (0-6)
3. Rochester Adams (6-0)
4. Farmington Harrison (4-2)

Rochester Falcons (4-2)
W 28-7 at North Farmington
L 0-23 at Birmingham Seaholm
W 38-19 vs Southfield
L 23-41 at Troy Athens
W 17-14 vs Farmington
W 31-14 at Birmingham Groves

vs Southfield Lathrup - The Falcons do NOT match up well in this one. It is at home though. Prediction: (4-3)

at Farmington Hills Harrison - Best match ups of the remaining games. This one determines their playoff fate. Prediction: (4-4)

vs Rochester Adams - They always play well against their arch rival. If they want in the playoffs... they'll have to. Prediction: (4-5)

Just curious about Rochester's playoff situation, do they absolutley need six wins to make it, or what are the chances of getting in with 5 wins, because i think there is a good chance they will win one of the three remaining games

IF rochester gets 5 wins then they qualify for playoffs if someone in their conference gets 6 wins then yes they do need 6 wins to make playoffs.....six wins seals a spot in the playoffs

Sorry, but i am still a little confused. Are you saying that if anyone in our conference has 6 wins then we need six wins too, because that is a pretty forgone conclusion that Adams will have at least six wins.So if that's true then six wins is a must

yes if anyone else has six wins in the conference then rochester does need 6 wins in order to stay in the playoffs

That is not correct

A team with 5 wins can make the playoffs if they have only played 8 regular season games OR if there are not enough 6-3 or better teams in their MHSAA Division. If this is the case, the MHSAA team with the highest week 9 MHSAA POP rating will join the playoffs as a 5-4 team.

Generally, each year there are a couple of 5 win teams in each MHSAA Division.

so OAA scout..tell me WHY Rochester did not stack up against Lathrup, because they sure looked to be the better more prepared team?

Mainly because Lathrup would sleep through all 4 quarters with the exception of their eye opening yawn with about 4 minutes left to take a win home.

Rochester did look well prepared, however... I must say that the 4th quarter timeout that they took in fear of a SL fake punt cost them a regulation victory.

so now that you have seen Rochester stack up against Lathrup, how do you feel about Rochester vs. Harrison?..a team that was beat up pretty good by Lathrup

Would you like to know so you can bash my feelings? lol

Uhm... I actually like Rochester's chances to win against FHH, if the game were at the corner of Walton and Livernois.

A road trip to Harrison, unfortunately spells trouble for most programs... yes, even the mighty Falcons.

One thing to keep in mind, Harrison has struggled with solid rushing attacks... hints Hill and Son.

Hill and Son have been amazing this year....well not godly or anything but they have had a good year....if both of them stay healthy and rochester can establish a solid rushing game, with nabors and cribbs behind that i think rochester could possibly come out with a victory

I hate getting into too many what-if chances, but what are the chances that Rochester gets into the playoffs with a win over harrison and a loss to Adams. I like their chances against FHH, but Adams looks too good. This is our best chance to make it to the playoffs in years, just like to get your guys' thoughts

They'd be one of the top 5-4 teams in division 1 with points they'd get from a FHH victory. The question is, how many sub 6-3 teams will slip in per division? I don't feel they'd be one of the top two 5-4 teams. Top 4 sounds right with the Harrison win.

better question is what are the chances that harrison does not advance to the playoffs

Being a division 3 school, FHH's chances are better than Rochester (d1) at 5-4.
