mertog asked if it was a dying question. asa sucks along with the umps, everyone knows that. our ump showed up 15 mins late on sunday and yelled at us to speed the game up because we were behind. dont make sense. the big issue is the bats. the freak and synergy 2 is banned next yr for asa, wich everyone uses just about. that means these guys need new bats. the jugganut is "the best" asa bat??? who knows. our cov league has the own "coventry" rules but follow asa format. we could still play asa and adopt a nsa or usssa bat list. or just switch league. usssa offers more tournaments includin a e leage and a e recreational. nsa and asa is just e. the rest of the state minus cranston plays usssa and nsa, so anyone who plays on another team has a bat and switches their bat for sunday morning, it would be nice to get use to 1 bat.

p.s. bet a 30 pack a jr's vdub player wins the derby...holla

30 pack it is....1)Considine 2) Keenan 3 ) Lesniak 4) A Mans. I am boxing those 4. JRs got beat 1-0 in the playoffs. Who from Jrs, exactly , has homerun power? It seems that this USSSA question is really no question at all. If Lemme is on board..and I know that Anthony Mans is, with Ian, Artie..and a host of others...why wouldnt the switch be made? My question is..what is the diff between a ASA ump and an USSSA ump? They are just umps right? Better trained..or..does the association hold the umps to a higher level of accountability then ASA

they both suck, usssa wears red and asa wears blue. arc and bats is the only difference, along with the picture has 5 seconds to throw the ball while dekeing. and actully if the sunday morning is lookin to be more safe, the picture is allowed to throw the ball 6 ft behind teh rubber.

30 pack it is...and we should use raven woods a legit shot.

If there is enough interest i will call brian and see if we can set up a meeting again . With the usssa tournament season being over there will be no conflicts . I will call Helen to see when would be a good time and try to set it up . Mert how much notice would you need to attend . We can get this done i think there is alot of interest . I know of at least 7 teams that would vote yes. I think we need a two thirds vote to get it done which would be ten or eleven votes. I think the issues are the quality of umps and the amount of money we would save . LB 4 LB i will be by today maybe you can help put a pros and cons list together

Lemmes note sold me...its more than money and umps. Its bats, its tournments, pitching rules changes..and..interested leadership from the top rather than absoulutely nothing from ASA. Also, it seems that if we choose to do so, we can keep in our by-laws whatever it is we like about ASA..so we have the best of both worlds. We have nothing to lose by experimenting for one year..we can always go back. Lets try it. See you in the afternoon.
