To start, Anna Moose is not playing in this tournament. They have a couple guys who are hurt and who are shutting it down for the year.

Also, the Anna Moose only had 2 players who have played B in the past 2 years. They were Joe Witt and Mark Kuba. Please, if you don't believe me, call me and tell me who else on their roster has played B level ball in the past 2 years. I said I would strictly enforce those rules, and I will. If a guy went to B state 2 years ago as an extra and only got 1 at bat, I would probably think about letting that guy play depending on the team. But that was not the case with Anna Moose at all. Not even close.

Here's the challenge for those who want to spout nonsense. If you can show me WHO on their team was a "B" player by those rules, I will give you the same money that 2nd place got. Which was $200. There's your challenge. No risk to you. It's easy. If you're gonna come on here and make those statements and accusations, stand behind them.

But for the rules, it is a men's tournament only. You are allowed NO MORE than 2 players who have played "B" level sanctioned softball or higher in the past 2 years. It's here in Marion and costs $150. We had 9 teams in September and paid out 1st - 300, 2nd - 200 and 3rd - 100.

It really looks like we will have 8-9 teams again. Some of us played in a tournament over in Sikeston this weekend that the "One More" team played in and ended up splitting the 1st place pot with us. One More got 4th in the September tourney. There were 3-4 teams that got between 4-8th places that were really interested and I'm positive 2-3 of them will come.

There WILL be a tournament and it will be really competitive like the last one was.

If there are 8 or less teams, we will do a 2 bracket round robin with a single elim tourney afterwards. So you'd be guaranteed 4 games with 8 teams.

Rob, if someone puts up an anonymous post saying "is it going to b only 2 b players per team this time for EVERYONE?", I'm gonna respond to them because they're implying that I didn't make everyone follow the same rules, which isn't true. If you hop in with a post before I respond to them with a comment that jokingly or seriously supports what they're saying, then that's on you with however I respond.
