Happy New Year to everyone! Homestead RC Raceway hopes everyone had a safe and happy holiday season and the New Year will be healthy and prosperous for all of you.
We had a lot of positive things happen for the month of December.
The website, www.homesteadrcraceway.com has been updated and given a bit of a different look. Homestead RC Racewayhopes you will take advantage of this site and use it for communication and information. You will find a current track calendar for both practice and race days that will be updated monthly. Upcoming races and news of interest will be shown. Make sure you register so you can use the THE FORUM. It is free, then you will be able to ask and answer questions, get all kinds of current information, and have a lot of fun when you participate in THE FORUM.
The Homestead RC Raceway Bring a Toy Christmas Challenge was a great success. We gathered more toys for charity than anyone could have imagined. The generosity by all those involved was outstanding. This was the first event that the Homestead RC Raceway crew ran from beginning to end without any outside help. Thanks to everyone who participated to make this event such a success.
The race track is looking awesome! Check out the PHOTO ALBUMS section for proof. The track has been striped. We now have a painted centerline for better reference. The infield areas have been painted to match the Homestead Speedway colors. All turns have been radiused eliminating all those car breaking square corners All the turns have been painted red and white to simulate racing berms. The car friendly circuit flows so well for both 1/10 and 1/8 cars that almost no turn marshalling is required. We are not finished yet, we have even more improvements being planned for Homestead RC Raceway.
We have a very unscientific poll on the Welcome Page at www.homesteadrcraceway.com . We are asking racers if they have a preference on what day we have club races. You can choose Saturday, Sunday, or no preference. Homestead RC Racewayhopes you will voice your choice and participate in this poll.
The 2008 Happy New Year Gran Prix is going to be held on Jan. 6th. We invite all of you who have not been to Homestead RC Raceway to come and check out the facility and have a great day of racing with us. Those of you who been to the track recently know what we are talking about and we look forward to having you join us again.
