I've negotiated my concession stand contract. This season I cannot simply donate my time. I've agreed to work this season for 6 beers a game.

Love is in the air, as George Laase has come to terms on his 2008 contract. George will once again be a member of the Barton Braves aftering taking a one year lay off to test his coaching skills in Virginia. All of the particulars of George's contract can not be mentioned due to leagal reasons, but I can say that George will be acquiring sling blades Geo Tracker. Stayed to for more signee information.

Marc Maynor has also come to terms on a multi-year deal. Terms and conditions, as par for the course, weren't available at time of press release. Marc started 3 seasons in center for the Wolfpack of NC State. An injury ended a promising "past college career". He looks to get some pt at any of the corner outfield positions, and is looking foreward to "helping in whatever way possible" to bring that much deserved title back to Barton!

I have found out some disappointing news today at 12:01 pm that Jason Rosnik will not be able to join the Barton Braves for the 2008 season. Jason broke his hand at the begining of the 2007 season which sidlined him for the remainder. Now Jason has to fulfill other obligations and hopes to return for the 2009 campaign.

ATTENTION BIG DOG AND HIS SCOUTING AGENCY:

BUCKEYE LOCAL SET TO HOST ALUMNI BASEBALL GAME.
When: Saturday, March 29, NOON.
Where: Bill Mazeroski Field, in front of the High School

So far, 43 former players have signed up to participate in the alumni baseball game. Obviously, if there are enough players, there will be 2 baseball games that day.

You and your scouting bureau have been invited to scout the talent to possibly help fill out the remaining spots on your roster.

There is a small $25 signing fee per player.

By the way, Sling Blade's GeoTracker ran out of gas. I need a ride to the games.

Seriously though, I hope you come check it out, and scout some of the potential Big Dog Clients. I might be able to sneak you in the game for some Spring Training. Let me know.

The Barton Braves have come to terms with the newest member of the Brave family. Jonathan Duncan and his agent Mike "Sparky" Anderson are pleased to announce this deal. Jonathan brings to the Braves an extensive knowledge of the game as well as the ability to throw some needy strikes and coach a mean base. Stay tuned for further signees.

After hearing the recent news that Littledog has aquired a contract for working the concession, I will be requesting the following:
1. 6 Bud Lights
2. A ride home
3. Burn cream for the first aide kit
4. permission to beat the asses of drunk old men that like to run their mouths!

In response to Mrs. Atkinson's contract requests, the Braves can meet all but one of her requests. The acquisition of burn cream will have to be renegotiated. The Braves feel that certain ladies should be responsible for supplying their own burn cream. Stay tuned to further contract deals.

After intense anticipation, I have chosen to join in on the chatroom activity. First off, Rosnick, I challenge you to play, as you are still slower than me and I am 8 years your senior! Keep working, only god and an assload of luck will answer your prayers! Secondly, I am voluntarily demoting myself to a corner spot in the outfield, as my aging body can no longer compete with former Division I centerfielders. Thirdly, I am challenging Mr. Duncan to actively recruit OVBL legend Michael "Sparky" Anderson to reconsider his return as a Barton Brave...in whatever capacity he deems appropriate.

Mr. King, I second that motion that Sparky should come back and rejoin the Braves Family. I did have contact with Sparky about 2 weeks ago and said that he "I am afraid to come to any game because I will want to put the uniform back on". Also, I will not accept your request to move to one of the corner spots in the outfield, you own that position. I know a guy who could hook you up with some of the stuff that was in the Mitchell Report. But don't tell anybody!

What is the Zack's status? We need as much pitching as possible. I hear Vee Jay may be able to toss a couple of innings....as soon as his HGH kicks in! We probably have a better chance of getting his son Cal to play!

The Barton Braves are proud to announce the newest member of our esteemed franchise. At 9:01 pm Barton was able to sign Tom Pasco. Tom's agent Steve Wojick and myself were able to come to terms on this contract for the 2008 season. Tom brings his 37 years of OVBL to our club. This is a major annoucement and the Braves are happy to welcome Tom to Crescent. Stay tuned for more updates.
